EDIT: FOUND THE DIRECT FEED
Trailer was screened a few days ago at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France on Wednesday.
Gekijōban Mazinger Z (Mazinger Z The Movie) continues Koji's story 10 years after his battle with Dr. Hell
Official plot synopses:
"It has been 10 years since then. Humanity awaits a new fate.
Once humanity was on the verge of destruction at the hands of the evil scientist Dr. Hell and his underground empire. Kōji Kabuto, his Mazinger Z super robot, and his friends at the photon power laboratory put an end to Dr. Hell's evil ambitions, and returned peace to the world.
It has been 10 years since then. Kōji has followed his father and grandfather and now walks the path of a scientist. He encounters a mysterious life form buried in a giant structure buried deep below Mt. Fuji. A new encounter, a new threat, and a new fate await humanity. And Kōji, who was once a hero, makes a decision for the future.
It can be a god or a demon.
Once again the future is entrusted to Mazinger Z. "
Really looking forward to this!

It's on display! I'll try to take a picture soon to show you. I won't review it because everyone know what to expect, but personnaly I'm a bit disapointed when I compare to older one. From proportion to articulation, it's a magnificent piece of hardware. But I see it more like a toy than a display piece. Lots of tiny little plastic piece, looks fragile. Since it's well articulated, it feel flismy on hand, compared to GX-01R, which is more like a brick. Included accessories are nice and well hidden. Is is worth to buy, yes. Is it my best, no I prefer old school sturdy and static figure, but that is me. Nice? I am in Montreal so we are neighbours, will probably unbox mine today!

For me personally this is the Mazinger I always wanted, the one I grew up with watching the anime, limited posability is not a turnoff for me, I think am going all in with the D.C line, Ankoku Dai Shogun can't come soon enough.

Welcome Kanji, I also collect a bunch of different figures and lines like Saint Seiya figures and Berserk. Regarding your question I hope this D.C line is the beggining of a bunch of of figures from Go Nagai's work, I'd kill for Figuarts Koji Kabuto and Tetsuya, as for the SoC D.C line yes I think a new and more stylish Aphrodite might be in the works

The Canadian feeling when you see the canada post guy coming with your long awaited package and right before handing it over to you he pulls out a bill a pen and ask you how do you want to pay. Nooooooooo!!!!!!!

Like I said, not worthy as a Canadian to order from Anime-Island unless you are really desperate. 50$ shipping from across the border? LOL

It will always be cheaper to get it straight from Japan. I live too in Canada, and worst and Quebec so very high tax. Anime-Island has the better deal as a Canadian, even better then BBTS. I am in Quebec too! Montreal to be precise, I know the pain!

Anime-Island is great if yo live in the states. The minute they add shipement costs to other countries it loses right away any advantage they might have. As a Canadian I rather order from a Japanese retailer, not only they usually have their stuff sooner and cheaper but I get it faster than Anime-Island shipping me stuff up north across the border.

Amimi and CDjapan sold out, but I guess HLJ secured a good stock, it wont last much longer I think.

I think I am going to stick to my HLJ pre-order. HLJ and CDJapan sold out already, I give amimi a couple of more hours before it also gets sold out aswell now the Americas is waking up. Only thing that scares me is that HLJ once cancelled a pre-order of mine because they miss calculated their stock. Hope won't happen this time.

That's like 4 am for me 😂, now that I secured one with hlj, I will hunt for a cheaper pre-order without worrying I could have missed out.
