I'll agree with those saying Boss Borot. I have him and he's such a wonderful and emotive SOC I really want him more widely available.

Ooooh! I'd love a DX Daimos. Yes please!!!
i would be a happy man if they just gave us a reissue for the GX43, or an R version, or a complete new figure
Looking at that I suddenly want a Metal Build movie version Boss Borot to go with Maz Z and Great Maz.

So I got mine, and there's a mystery broken piece in the box, a tiny bit of black plastic that's clearly broken off from something. What makes it a mystery is that I have no idea what it's broken off from. Post a pic. It’s probably from the stand. Does the new release have alternate arms? Check the shoulder pads.

That’s still shockingly high. The original release dropped to some insanely low prices. I think I paid around $70 or less for it on one of HLJ’s spring cleaning sales?

The DX's can be hard to predict. Just from looking at them so far my impression is you can typically find them for a handful of weeks after release at MSRP. But after that they skyrocket in aftermarket price.

$384!!! Gahhh! While I like it, I'm not sure I like it THAT much? I might have to wait for it to show up on Mandarake for less than half that.

This basically looks like they took their new robot damashii EVA mold and upscaled it and gave it some metal parts. Not a bad price for someone who wants a REALLY big 15.5 inch tall EVA unit. Sadly no entry plug gimmick. It says it's 170 mm. Doesn't that work out to about 6.5"? So around the same size as the DC's or most SHFA's?

So about 6". At $180? That's not too bad. And looks very nice for that. I could live with a set of 6" EVA's.

I've never been a fan of Mekander Robo or its design. But damn! That looks good.

Need help. I did ask this question to the Voltron FB group but I need your opinions. Is Icarus Voltron really good gokin/chogokin like top tier? Meaning, is it worth the $300 plus shipping overseas? I want your honest opinions about this. is this POSE + metal quality? It's... not bad. It looks good, and is one of the better Voltron figures. But it is a bit fragile in places and can have some QC issues. (one of the green lions toes on mine snapped day one just by moving it normally. ) It's a nice figure. If you can find it for $200-220 I would say go for it. $300 seems a bit over priced for it. At that price the SOC is much better Quality wise. But it will depend on what you value in the figure.

The actual action starts at 3:20...whew over 3 min of intro? Yuch! Is it just me, or does it look really really toy like. And I don't mean in a good way toylike. I mean it has no visual weight. It has obvious gappy action figure joints all over. Those shoulders joints look horrible the way they are hanging on clearly visible pegs. This was a truly lousy choice for an FA. I love Ideon. I really liked the show. I would love to do everything I can to encourage more good Ideon Gokin. But this one is gonna wait until it hits a deep sale at HLJ or BBTS. It's not like Ideon was a super flexible Kung Fu Robot. It moved like Frankenstein on screen a big stiff lumbering force of nature. Even the Missile effects parts look kind of cheesy. And I live for cool effects parts.

What tank thing? The one that's in the pictures?
my bad i didnt watch the show so i dont know the exact name of things
i meant this tank
i think its epic thats why its sad not to have it, and i really dont want to have two of this figure
That's the Trider Shuttle I believe. The Tank is inside it and exits through the fold down rear cargo door. It's a really sweet set of huge tank treads that the robot mounts on to form the Trider Tank. I'm pretty sure the tank parts only come in the original release along with the Shuttle.

2 of my favorites. These are the only ones of my Robots the Wife allows in her displays in the more public spaces. I wish we would get more like them. The closest is the Chogokin Aigis from the Persona games. She's a nice figure. But not as nice as these two. (I have a pet peeve about robots that cannot stand on their own and require stands.)

I'm not sure how much better it would be next to the CMs version. I'm sure Bandai will make better tolerance across the various joint works across each figure, but not sure if its enough for me pick it up over the CMs one I already have. Doesn't the white plastic panel joints on the legs get brittle over time on the CMS? I assume the Bandai one will be very very similar to the Baikanfu.

They look exactly the same. But yeah, looking at that picture of the accessory parts stored under the stand I can tell I was correct. They have taken out the three spring firing elements of the original, and replaced them with plug in effect parts. You see one or two effects for the head crest, and two, one for each arm, to simulate rocket firing fists. Which the GX-33 original has. Wait, where does this information come from? Are you sure you're not thinking of the minipla version, which DOES come with effect parts? This picture uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200323/8c637d56a5a39e78f235d040a1a6997f.jpgThe two clear parts with the black cylanders at the end. They look to be for the rocket punch fists. The smaller one is for the head crest. Plus a sword slash piece and something else. The original doesn't have these. But the extra parts for the rocket punch arms would be stowed there.

is this figure any good guys ? i have a very small idea about the robot and the figure in general, is the transformation good ? how solid is the figure ? you know this type of things I like Leoparden. But it is an older school SOC. The transformation is not particularly exciting. This was the direct and immediate forerunner to the Super Sentai shows. So the robot was a dude in a cardboard suit. I haven't messed with it in awhile. My only complaint is the Perfect Transformation arms don't have any shoulder tilt/butterfly joints. You have to swap to the more accurate arms for full range of motion. Also in perfect Transformation mode the big lion head of the Leoparden ship ends up as a backpack. But can be removed for aesthetics. The figure is solid and stable with a lot of metal. You will in all honestly transform it to ship mode once just to do it, and spend the rest of your time with it in Robot mode. It's rather like Trider G7 or Daitarn 3 in that regard.

I sooo want that SH Figuarts Supaidamon to fill out my Spidey collection! I am however sensing a major change or two with the Renewal SOC Leoparden. I get the impression that the Spring Firing Gimmicks have been replaced. Honestly with regards to the head crest I don't think that is a bad thing. As the original release seems deliberately engineered to lose the head crest just by staring at the figure. You can't properly display the figure without it being locked and loaded. Doesn't Leoparden also have rocket fists? (I honestly forget and am too lazy to dig through storage to find the box that would have the spring fire arms?)

For those that skipped it the first time around. Trider G7 is one of the largely unsung gems in the SOC line. Just everything about it feels good in hand. Nice smooth ratchets. A lot of metal. And a metric crap ton of accessories.
