For the record, Wei Jiang makes oversized Transformers KOs with better quality than the original Masterpiece figures by Takara. Look at any review of their MPP-10 Optimus Prime or their recent Megatron and it's clear they are capable of better QC and in some cases better design than Takara.
Of course a SOC is even more complex, we don't know how they might handle a figure with so much metal in it, and so on. Maybe this will suck. But remember, a fake Rolex is undesirable because it's of lower quality than the original watch. Every Wei Jiang release thus far has been better than the original toy. Not an apt comparison 😉

God I love that anime. Not sold on Robot Damashii as a line, though.

We don't know yet. The piece on display here isn't the same as the one they showed two years ago, but there is talk of a Valkyrie line in two scales. We'll have to wait and see.

This doesn't look like the 1/35 though. Apparently the Japanese on the sign underneath it says something about two scales, so I'm still hopeful, but we'll see. I'd kill for a fully transformable 14" Valk

We don’t know enough yet, honestly. The scale is probably 1/48 so people with big 1/60 collections might hold off, but I’d say yes, it'll be a war to get a PO in

Kairos looks really good actually. I love that they added missiles to the pods on the rear of the jet.

DX Chogokin is in general a very good line; Maz was well-reviewed but had some joint issues and a couple of QC problems, and I've heard only good things about Great Mazinger (the second release), so hopefully it's just up and up from here. However, the bigger question is how Bandai tackles the Valkyrie design. We know they can pull it off in a smaller scale with the DX Chogokin figures, but this looks to have some new engineering and of course there's the question of the light features and how easy those will be able to access and protect given the transformation. It's definitely a good thing that they're doing even more with this than previous Valks, but we don't know how it'll translate to a larger scale. And as for metal content, the DX Chogokin Macross figures only really use metal in the joints, legs and feet. I'd expect this to have more die-cast on the surface, so there's the open question of possible scratching and paint-rub as you transform it.
I'm beyond excited for this, don't get me wrong. It's just a big unknown at this point. But part of the excitement is being one of the first to explore it, haha

Holy sh*t! They showed it again. I thought this one was totally dead in the water. EDIT: It seems smaller than the 1/35 DX they showed off earlier, though. I hope it's the same, but I'm no pro at scales and can't really tell. I need a 14-inch Valk.

Very excited for EVA-01; I've been waiting for a top-quality EVA toy for years so if articulation and build are solid it's a must-have for me

Yeah, dont know why but sometimes stores does stuff like that. Maybe the limited version just isnt selling as well as the normal one? Color wise as we all know, many a times normal version sells better. I think that in terms of paint, the two are identical. The only difference is that the 'preorder edition' comes with a Megatron pistol. Anyway, if it gets discounted that deep again around Christmas I'll go for one; no money at the minute. Thanks for the heads-up though. It looks awesome and should scale very well with my Sentinel Bellerophon.

It's funny; they have the standard version for full price but the first run with the bonus Megatron pistol is discounted. Was QC meant to be worse on those or something?

Sterile is right, honestly. Some weathering and damage would give it some character but the plain white isn't my favourite. I thought the gunmetal paint and skull motifs would make it a little more unique, but it seems we'll never see that version now

That's awful issues like that keep me away from Fewture and a lot of older gokins. Ever since my supposedly-mint Konami Gurren Lagann came with a bunch of factory glue spots I only buy newer stuff from companies that will make good on QC issues.

Just found it on eBay, apparently undisplayed for a little over $150. I'd been following this guy since late 2015, planned to wait for the gunmetal version and kind of forgot about it when that never came. It popped up in my followed searches and I knew it was time!
I agree that marketing was a little poor with this, and the price-point is high for an original line. Of course I'd call even retail reasonable for the sheer amount of stuff you get, but $240 for a totally original figure is a lot for most folks. It's a real shame, because they clearly released this with future accessory packs in mind. Forget about all the accessory-mounting points; the entire arm assembly comes out and it's begging for some kind of oversize rail-gun attachment. Maybe I'll 3D-print one.
Curious as to what makes the design unoriginal--I'm not super well-versed in mecha, but I found this look to be very fresh compared to the normal hard edges on a Gundam.

Far too late for a reply, but I just got Bellerophon at a steep discount and am super-excited to finally have it.

Anyone have a lead for finding this guy at a decent price? I really don't want to pay $200 for it.

As someone who's owned the Konami, it's not worth it. Mine came with a bunch of white marks from the factory as well as loose joints. I couldn't give the thing away; I actually sold it for $200 in the end on eBay.
I love Gurren Lagann. I desperately want a big, high-quality, pose-able and durable figure representing him. But that figure doesn't exist yet. The Konami is stupid expensive now and you run the risk of factory flaws even on sealed ones, the Studio Halfeye kit is rare and incredibly expensive as well as fragile, and both the Riobot and SRC are too small for me. For me it'll be either Soul of Chogokin, or a bigger Sentinel piece, or bust.

Wow! I'd kill for that gunship, but there seems to be no way to find it affordably now. If anyone's selling or knows a site, shoot me a message!
