Thanks! Didn't notice it lurking there in the underside of the styrofoam. The design is pretty neat (doesn't look like it will ruin paint and such), but I will probably avoid it. Also, random thought: I wish the tank tread feet were a little taller. The figure loses too much height when switching from standard to treads

Sorry to necro this, but I have to say—Dubai is full of surprises! After buying Fewture's Getter Poseidon for $320 from a collector over here, another local guy has offered me the Black Getter repaint for about $200, new and sealed. I have some reservations, since Poseidon isn't quite perfect and I've had to do a little work on it, but at that price I cannot pass it up. Hopefully I will be able to contribute some photos and thoughts in the coming days.

Sorry to necro this; I have a question about Poseidon. There is a small plastic hatch on its bum that I assume fits a stand peg. Should my figure have come with a stand, or did Fewture not include one with Poseidon?

Met up with the seller today; he turned out to be a really nice, accommodating guy. I gave the figure a full look over, and was initially worried--looking the normal feet over, I saw some very stubborn smudges that resembled fingerprints under the light. However, the rest of the figure, treaded feed included, was pristine! I had hoped it would be a little larger, but honestly I've nothing else to complain about; the ratchets were nice and tight and the figure was very impressive in person. Needless to say, I bought it. I will take some photos over the next couple of days; I know many people have posted some great pictures already but I would like to add mine to the pile. Last thing: would anyone be able to recommend a way to buff the smudges off the regular feet? I prefer the treads, but I'm so close to having a perfect figure that I think I should go the extra mile

Hey all. I have been offered some Metal Composite and Metal Build figures by a local collector and am having trouble making a choice. I have exactly zero experience with gunpla and am interested because I enjoy the mecha designs. Here is what he has offered me:
Metal Composite RX78-2—$136 Metal Composite Banshee Norn Awakening ver.—$109 (no box) Metal Build Freedom—$136
If you've had experience with any of these, I would really appreciate your help.

Hey! That's a great price, but shipping looks to be a killer. Still, cheaper than it originally sold for. I am worried about paint issues though. Would rather see all my Fewture purchases before buying to make sure they're pristine, or make sure I know a seller who will definitely check for me and report honestly. The impression I get from stories of NY customer service is that they will not do that.

Oh wow. I was about to buy Sahelanthropus until I saw those shipping rates. I have to say, that's kind of a scummy move—lowering the sticker price and charging an arm and a leg for shipping. For reference, I bought Sentinel's Hulkbuster from Solaris Japan a week ago, and express EMS shipping cost me about 3700jpy total. I'll just wait for a deeper discount in future.

I've spoken to the seller now, and he has sent me some close-up shots. Everything looks fine on camera, so I will be heading over tomorrow to examine it in person--and, hopefully, I'll be walking away carrying a heavy Fewture box. Anyway, I'll post an update if I end up getting it. I know plenty of people have already talked about this one, but getting buzzed about a figure is always fun.

Hm, alright. Makes my decision a little harder, but if this one is mint without major QC issues then it will probably be as good as any reissue that comes along, and I would be getting it for less than retail. If the reissues contain updated heads, that's just a chance for me to buy them!

Damn! I would have to leave it in Dubai with my family here, sadly; the figure is too heavy for me to take back to the USA with me, at least for the foreseeable future. The positive side is that it's a local deal, so no shipping cost. Anyway, I think I will get the cash together and give it a thorough look over; if the finish and joints are in good condition I'll go for it. Thanks for your help, everyone! Still interested in hearing about the repainted version/any of your personal experiences with Poseidon, if you want to share!

...and I just found out that the repaints come with extra heads, which look more aggressive/evil. Very frustrating; now I cannot get both my preferred headsculpt and paint with one figure. Is there any chance they will release the new heads in old colours?

I do worry about that; a few people have complained about fingerprints and dust from the factory in the paint. I don't have equipment to try buffing that kind of thing out, so if it's noticeable than that is a deal-breaker for me. Thanks for the advice.

Agreed. Their stuff seems to often be on the shelves for a pretty steep discount--and sometimes in the weirdest places. For example I got a great deal on Hulkbuster (28000jpy) at Solaris Japan recently, and they have also discounted Metal Gear Sahelanthropus even though that only came out last month. My only worry is that Mazinkaiser will sell faster in the Japanese market than other recent releases.

This is the original version. I actually like Poseidon's repaint colours too, but not Liger or Dragon's

Hey all! First of all, apologies for my tendency to only post when I need advice for a deal. I lurk pretty frequently but often find I don't have a lot to say about most gokin toys—so, I am sorry, and I will try to contribute more as I get more into these figures. Now, here is my situation: A while ago, I was in the market for a Metal Gear Sahelanthropus figure by Sentinel, and a local collector was interested in trading for Fewture Ex Gokin bots. I'm not looking for the Metal Gear any more, but I put some feelers out and someone got back to me with what I think is a good offer for a Getter G Poseidon—I would have to inspect it for paint issues and such, but right now his offer is about $320. Now, I'm not interested in collecting all three, but Poseidon is my favourite design of the bunch and if I had to pick one, that would be it. I also like to keep certain in-demand figures on hand, because often I get trade offers for harder-to-find stuff that I do really want, so holding onto Poseidon could be worth it just for that. So, I have two questions: - What do you think of Fewture's Getter G Poseidon figure? Particularly interested in your impressions if you own it
- Is it popular among Fewture collectors?
Just so I'm totally transparent: I am not interested in flipping this figure, but I do like having things on hand for trades. I would want to display it, at least for a while, but I want to avoid a situation like I recently had with Bandai's Great Impact Gurren Lagann, where I needed cash in a pinch, had a very hard time finding a buyer and ended up selling out of desperation for below cost.

Goodness. I've only started looking at Macross toys recently and I just cannot decide what to get—there's so much out there, and great-looking new stuff like this seems to be in the pipeline all the time! I wish they were bigger though; I may just wait for the upcoming 14" tall VF-1.

Damn. Finally a large Sentinel figure, and it costs this much!

On the other hand, the Mark 43 has slightly improved articulation and has more red in the suit. You can't go wrong either way.
That said, if you're only getting one figure, and have the display space, then I would advise you avoid the diecast 1/6 versions and go for the 1/4-scale Mark 43. It is the best Iron Man figure that Hot Toys has released.

Thank you for sharing that! I have this on PO and had no idea about the early review.
