I must say that GERWALK is the best one yet. Up to this point in time, I had always thought the BanDai variable kit had the best GERWALK mode but this one certainly takes the cake.

Thanks to Graham at Macrossworld for the latest scans. Man. I'm glad I preordered the YF-19 a couple of months ago. IMHO it's toy of the year. Dengeki Hobby Dec 2006Hobby Japan Dec 2006

I love the Gerwalk mode. Not really diggin the robot or jet modes though. I would still rock it if it was cheap enough. I think I am more of a fan of the VF-0A.

It looks fantastic. I wish it weren't so expensive or at least included fast pack for the price.

Very cool.... call me nitpicky, but what happens with the fast packs when the Yf-19 transforms?

Very cool.... call me nitpicky, but what happens with the fast packs when the Yf-19 transforms? Well. Fold Booster is only useful in Fighter Mode. The shoulder pieces hang downard when in Battroid Mode.

You know what would be cool? if the fold booster could stay attached to the shield in battroid mode :-D

They neatly side-stepped that question in the OVA... you saw Isamu arrive in Earth orbit and immediately jettisoned the fold-booster before enterting the atmosphere... (and he even remains in fighter mode and does not transform until well into the dogfight in the city)...

Hope they panel line that thing and lots of tampo printing, looks too bare without panel lines.

They neatly side-stepped that question in the OVA... you saw Isamu arrive in Earth orbit and immediately jettisoned the fold-booster before enterting the atmosphere... (and he even remains in fighter mode and does not transform until well into the dogfight in the city)... AFAIK, the Fold Booster was not incorporated on the transformation design for the 19 and the 21, which explains why they're using external mounts on the fighter. I also recall a scene in Mac Plus, just before Isamu and Yang Neumann hijacked the 19 to go to Earth, Yang mentioned something about the fold booster being experimental, and is not perfectly designed for the 19 yet. He was even bolting it down on the 19. I need to check M+ to confirm this though. According to the Macross Compendium, the external fold booster was for "one way use" only. Likely meaning it's mounted in fighter mode, used, and discarded when they reach the target location. macross.anime.net//mecha/united_nations/variable/yf19/index.html
