whats with the skinny hands. no. whats wrong with yamato. It's the same skeleton hand design from the 1/48's. Think of it as a design compromise to make the hands fold in seamlessly into the forarms in fighter mode. Sure, Yamato can probably make better hands, but it's just another good excuse for them to drive up the price a little more. The skinny hands don't really bother me since they do their job fairly well. Just wait a bit, someone's bound to make custom ABS hands for the 19, just like the ones made for the 1/48. What really bugs me about Yamato's preferences are it's boxes! They're fricken huge! Too much wasted space. |

Wasted space in Japanese packaging seems to be the norm. Anything that comes from Japan, be it a nice SOC or a pen comes with elaborate packaging that looks pretty, is fairly functional, but makes for lots of trash. It's like Christmas every time!  |
