LoturGalleryThe Force that is Impulse 1st of a seriesIl spare everyone from my usual theatrics and go straight to the gala ;D Commence countdown! ;D in 3...2... 1...uh-oh... ;D sorry kira... freedom had its moments-but for now--Its all about "IMPULSE" the next series of photos will have inserts of my favorite Shinn Asuka lines from the series (spoiler alert) "Trival! I won't let anyone call it trivial, and you're wrong about it being irrelevant too. I lost my entire family because of the Athhas...""They believed in the nation, and they believed and your so-called ideals. And in the end, they were all killed at Onogoro...""That's why I will never believe a word that you say...""I'll never believe in Orb...""I'll never believe any of your self-serving lies again..." "When you said you were going to uphold justice, did you ever stop and think of the innocents?""Of how many people would die because you insisted on following through your values to the bitter end?" "I wish people who didn't understand stuff, wouldn't talk about things as if they did."Thats it for series 1, focused on a movie-theme layout for the basic force impulse set since my previews were all movie poster-based and stuff ;D the next series' will be focused on the impulse parts, along with descriptive reviews of various compatible backpacks we have previously seen from the net, hope i can come up with the list during the "dress up impulse" mode from my available kits here For those seeking to get an MG kit the soonest, i cant stress enough the beauty of the MG Force Impulse... its one of those entry level kits that gets you hooked into Master Grades, not too pricey, but not too shabby either- and its quite appealing to new and old fans alike. It also blows away its NG counterpart in almost every department, and it can transform into multiple parts ala voltes v ;D so what more can we ask for? ;D Till next time, thanks for viewing MG all the way!

hi lotur, i am really awed and impressed with ur HUGE gunpla collection, and also with ur cab. love to see them all together, in action poses inside a well lit display set up.
on my side, i gave up gunpla modelling 8 to 10 years ago and shifted to collecting other toy lines. of late i started collecting gundam figures. but somehow, i wasn't fully satisfied. probably its the slight imperfections of mass produced figures, or more probably i just missed the perfect details of MG kits.
so lately im thinking of dusting up the old airbrush, make sanding sticks, gather the X-acto blades and cutters - and go to the gunpla frontlines again (",)
im fantasizing on building all the MG mobile suits of my two most favorite gundam pilots - Amuro and Char. from the One-Year-War era to the latest Gundam Unicorn storyline - which lately Full Frontal was revealed to be no other than Char himself. he survived CCA, most probably Amuro too. current talk is Bandai will soon release an MG Sinanju, Full Frontal/Char's MS in Gundam Unicorn. wohoo! im really glad they're alive.
your battle cry - "MG all the way" - suits me too. MG with all the works - basic painting, detailing (panel lines), adding those cool after market brass/metal boosters, and lastly lots of after market water-slide decals to make the models ala GFF style. definitely the end result will satisfy my gundam fix.
tnx for posting your collection bro, they give so much inspiration to other gundam afficionados like me. wish you well, and keep on posting developments on your collection bro.
-Ed

HOLY ****; that's an impressive collection!!!
Great looking builds, Lotur! Like btoyz, I used to be HEAVILY into Gundam modelling, but a the time investment involved in modeling has led me to collecting the HCM Pro figures instead. My modeling spirit hasn't been totally extinguished, however-- I often end up modifying and customizing my figures to get them 'just right'.
I'm in awe of the skill put into constructing your models. Outstanding Job!

LoturGalleryFeaturing MG Fazz SentinelAfter the recap gala, time to go back to my long pending FAZZ sentinel, took me 3 weeks to complete the kit... but dang, was it worth it! Snapbuilt ootb, cleaned the panel ink smudges. Already a mean bastid with its size, then again- -better have it Loturized i just love sayin that ;Dwidescreen, i decided to interchange the arms to accommodate the alternative weapon (gray) on the left hand, now we get the best of both worlds with the bad pwet rifle retained on the right ;D 04 closeup front, the rifle setup is similar to the MG gp02s, the back of the shoulder has a peg that supports the rifle but.t, with the right hand clutching the weapon handle top, i like this color scheme better than its FAZZ-10S counterpart big daddy rifle ;D decided not to color the chest for now, im still digging the simple B&W layout from the panel ink, simple and sufficient randoms, the shoulder pads remind me of Psycho's with its older brother ;D relatively looks the same from different angles besides the color, the retractable v-fin for the 10S separates it from the 10A crisscross, who's got the bigger package? ;D MG FAZZ sentinel assigned into Regiment 4 This draws to a close the MG Fazz Sentinel series, the newest heavy artillery unit acquisition of the army ;D thinking of going after Rick Dias black next or the Nu- will try to make up my mind up first ;D Thats it for the latest MG recruit, till next time and thanks for viewing

LoturGallery Featuring MG S Gundam
PRESENTING Maestro Grado Kuwarenta y Singko ;D
imho, this has a meaner astig factor than the Ex-S
decal here, decal there, decal everywhere ;D
il try to post comparison shots with the Ext S next time
and btw, here are the dendro comparisons as requested
dendro hgm vs my favorite 1/144: hguc hazel custom (almost similar height)
dendro hgm vs 1/100 MG GP03s huge difference
1/100 GP03s trying to hitch a ride ;D i can only imagine the size of a 1/100 dendro
That completes the 45th MG S Gundam and the Dendro special, will get more photos on the next chance i get
Thanks for viewing Enjoy your weekend!

LoturGallery feat MG Destiny
Seed Destiny brought me back, and its to Seed Destiny that i owe so much about the post-wing gunpla era. Thus its only fitting that its most recognizable model (arguably)- its namesake- stand tall atop all others in my collection. The centerpiece if i may so.
Without further ado i bring forth MG Destiny
thanks for looking!

LoturGalleryMG RX78-2 Ver.Ka: The Last KatokiThe thing i like about this kit the most is the spot-on colors, it lacked the articulation and detailing of the OYW, but the colors really stood out during the wip. It oozed with a certain elegance in spite of the design simplicity, and after doing this kit i realized that bandai's version 2 of this amuro ray suit will definitely blend the best of worlds- the originality of the rx78 from the verka, coupled with the articulation of the OYW. Awesome prospect! But- the future can wait, so its off with the formalities and lets head to the gallery ;D snapbuilt, neat and shiny along the surface... cant have that though ;D since the design is quite old school, decided to be a lil conservative with the decalwork, i tried ;D the sharpened v-fin packs quite a sting when touched ;D no cross for the shield though, just decals top back with cannon in place from the side with its more recent namesake- here we go! ;D o ha, who's got the better package? ;D articulation and detailing-wise, the OYW eclipses the VerKa, but the latter's simple layout and solid colors are its revealing features the shields quarter view time to bring out the cavalry! ;D from left to right: rx78-2 ver1 chrome edition, verka, oyw, v1.5 and archrival figure who's the fairest granddaddy of em all? ;D definitely not the leftmost ;D widescreen mug shot of the rx78-2 MG family still missing out the orig (non chrome) rx78 version 1 MG (from the photos my chrome rx is pretty worn out already ;D), and still contemplating whether to get the anime version of the OYW (maybe much later). planning to get a complete MG rx78 family portrait in the future, but it'll have to wait ;D So much for the Final Katoki, it ushers the wait for the next verKa this June 22, and that is the Shin Musha Thanks for viewing! MG all the way!

Here are the rest of the photos
That wraps up the Master Grade Ex S Gundam. With the experience im doubly excited on how the S Gundam would look like beside it. Then again i will be taking a breather from the snap builds and focus on the beautification (lolz) of my other kits.
And for now this has taken my fancy
Operation: Decal Destroy! is next ;D

LoturGalleryâ„¢ Presenting MG GP02a Physalis
First of credits go the brokenhope of mp for the motivation on this color scheme, and many thanks to everyone here at GT who helped me get around my painting funk. I did try painting back in the mid 90s but was sloppily executed with my 144s (bandais and bendis ;D). Fast forward to the present and here comes my very first Master Grade paint job. The bland OOTB GP02 color scheme helped out a lot into picking this kit, along with my preference of its unit design.
Lets begin with some before and after photos shall we ;D
before paint
after paint
Loturized ;D
perspective shots
many thanks to the excess crossbone decals ;D
banzaaai ;D
littered it like a billboard ;D

the katok feet and legs ;D
Thats it for MG GP02, im still evaluating if this deserves Regiment 1 promotion. I hope bandai releases an MG version 2 of this kit using the gundam white colors, and with more decals available to boot
Thanks for viewing, till the next wip!

LoturWorks Unicorn overview To become great is to destroy ;D
Note: Not exactly a review just yet, for i have to complete the kit first. Just a mini overview of what i have gathered so far
Pending decals, weapons and backpack, i decided to push through with the unicorn metamorphosis to its uber menacing form- the destroy.
Although very little paneling (only the head) was made, this remained a kick as.s gundam mecha which imo blows out even the more recent MGs from bandai in terms of design. The curvatures scream katoki- from the elaborate feet parts to the glorious implementation of the destroy v-fin. Simply put this kit has got it all.
It does have its share of misses (loose joints and shoulder plates, bland color, articulation gripes) but not enough to offset the overwhelming beauty of this model.
Let the photos speak for themselves Unicorn phase (80% complete)
FINALLY...
...here comes the much ballyhooed Destroy mode! ;D
with army leader Gouf Custom (pardon the saturated lighting... no time to filter the source, v-fin seems invisible ;D )
face off- destroy towers over gouf
perspective pose
withheld the use of the v-fin stickers imo it looks much cooler this way
breathtaking detail, see lower body work
only used select poses for this overview shoot around
up close and personal with the MG enigma ;D
On a lighter side Operation Capture of Jaburo deux ;D
sazabi remains significantly taller, but the unicorn-destroy is no slouch either
in full splendor!
the army welcomes unicorn into the fold ;D
will follow through with the completed kit prolly after the new year rush, dont know if i can begin work with the second unicorn just yet
thanks and hoped you enjoyed viewing, i hoped the photos have encouraged you in anyway to purchasing this marvelous kit... one of the best looking offerings from bandai thus far.
MG ALL THE WAY! ;D
