Wow, Awesome info there, Mucho thanks Recca74! I'm gonna keep an eye on this line to see how far and how well it goes... I just know sooner or later I'll wanna start grabbin up some of these awesome figs. I'd better start with Mr. Assemble before he goes into obscurity and becomes pricey on ebay. ;D zozo-Magengar

This thread shouldn't be this dead. Has anybody else been assembling? Here's my most recent monstrosity: Also, I've got those promised scans from Trigun Maximum vol. 13. It only took me...two and a half years. For those of you not used to reading manga, remember to read from right to left.

It only took me...two and a half years. I agree, cyrano. So sad that this tread got buried. Bloody awesome monstrosity it is. I've been putting together some different combos with TriStrikers figure, Cyber and Mr A. I concluded that with Assemble Borgs near by, you will never be bored. Props for posting scans of that Trigun Maximum. It's nice to see an official translation of the gears behind ABs and Nightows vision and influences. Speaking of Trigun, Had a chance to check out Badlands Rumble at a theater in KC. Very cool episode of Trigun. So,,,here's a few pics of what I've been assembling as of late! There are a few more pics floating around my camera somewhere I might post later. Still need to take some pics of Ghost Gunner too! I've got some more pics uploaded below however... plamowarriordx.com/Gallery/album101EDIT: I'm looking very forward to what the announcement is at WF later this month...Actually not sure if it's an announcement or more of an update on the AB line and maybe that next series of Jarknoids?? Idaknow, tough to get all the info from the newsletter....

Gotta say, I'm more than a little jealous of you seeing Badlands Rumble on the silver screen. I'm still waiting for a DVD release. And you're not alone in your dig for valuable information in those newsletters. I don't know what it is, but they seem harder to translate coherently than they should be. Still, I'll never stop trying to dredge info from them. I'm pretty excited for the powered up Jarks too... despite the fact that I'm probably around $300 behind being caught up in this line already.

I'm pretty excited for the powered up Jarks too... despite the fact that I'm probably around $300 behind being caught up in this line already. Thank you, sir! Yeah, gotta say that every time I mess with a different mode for the TriStriker I love it more and more. I Just love their "Recipe's" for the different releases. I try to always snap a few shots of anything I put together. Some of them are a bit ridiculous, but I had to try out recipe TS-01. It has a sort of Kikaider Side Machine feel to it which I love! Random shots of other mash-ups.... Badlands Rumble was totally worth the trip to KC (Me and my pal were almost late due to the crazy road contruction) and I plan on picking up the BD once it's out. I really do hope that Kaiyodo announces the Hades Pod. TriStriker needs another bad guy. And speaking of catch up...actually still need to get me a Doom Diver.

Fate or some other compelling force roused me and told me to check my email at about 5 this morning to see this (Also, fate is an iPhone that went ding). Happy news indeed. The Assemble Messenger email (but oddly not the news page it links to) also has prices and release dates for Chapter 5:
Looks like you can exchange Revochips in person for any Assemble Borg you want at WF too, which is pretty cool. The Tri-Striker is 20 chips/200 points, though. However, there's a line that says the Revochip is "near the end of service (from 7-31)" at the bottom of topic 2 (and there's also a caution in the email). Bummer, even though I never tried to redeem mine.
There's still just enough time to get on a plane and get to WonderFest. Just sayin'.

Good lookin' out, Cyrano. I completely missed that part of the email (Prices and release dates)! Haha! Along with that was the link to the updated AB site for Chapter 5 'Devilmorph'. Can't wait for these new figs. assembleborg.com/05_devilmorph/index.htmlThat's too bad about the discontinuation of the revo chips. I did get a chance to redeem mine, but honestly after middle man fees and shipping it would've been cheaper to just buy a revo off Amiami or HLJ. But it was pretty cool to have that sense of anticipation for my Lucky Revoltech Bag prize.

Ok, I'm seriously a Dumbass now, as I haven't been following this thread nor this particular toy line... so lemme guess and see if I got it straight: All along I thought the Assemble Borgs were actual action-figures of the characters... But now I'm seeing this is just the one revoltech line that lets you assemble figures and parts and vehicles into any combination of characters and weird things, am I correct?*** (or, are these just Custom assemblies and cross-mutilations or as one might say "kit-bashing"?) Those assemblies shown here look friggin Siiiiick! (***kinda like what the old Micronauts toys used to do back in the day) zozo-Mag

Is that...glitter plastic? Commence conflicted feelings. Conflict resolved. Commencing wallet emptying procedures. Some of those new assemblies at the bottom of the product lineup page are looking pretty great, and the breakdown of Devil's Blood's parts looks fantastic. It's interesting that the super-Yeeg Acid Worm is kinda lime green... I guess Yeeg is slowly pulling back towards his original yellow prototype. But it was pretty cool to have that sense of anticipation for my Lucky Revoltech Bag prize. Who was it in the end? I seem to remember some speculation that it was Gunbuster? Ok, I'm seriously a Dumbass now, as I haven't been following this thread nor this particular toy line... so lemme guess and see if I got it straight: All along I thought the Assemble Borgs were actual action-figures of the characters... Those assemblies shown here look friggin Siiiiick! (***kinda like what the old Micronauts toys used to do back in the day) zozo-Mag You're pretty much correct on both counts. The figures are original characters created for this line, rather than licensed like the other Revoltech brands. Because the characters were designed around the revolver joints, in some cases they actually surpass the other Revo brands in things like range of motion. Of course, there's really nothing stopping anyone from reassembling or combining their other Revoltech figures, but Assemble Borg was specifically designed to encourage it. Each figure has a couple of parts with multiple peg holes for recombination that can replace limbs, act as weapons, etc. -- even their smaller weapons like pistols and swords have these holes, so they can be combined, mounted, etc. The vehicles in the line also break down into smaller bits that can be reassembled however you like. That thing I posted last week is mostly made from some motorcycle parts and feet. There's some more info in the wiki down there in my signature, and a nice collection of pictures in the previous pages of this thread.

Is that...glitter plastic? Commence conflicted feelings. Conflict resolved. Commencing wallet emptying procedures. Haha! Yeah, I know! I was a bit taken back, but it doesn't bother me as much as the regular clear plastic. I think honestly I'd rather have the glitter plastic than just plain old clear coloured plastic. That's precisely why I painted my Zain figure. I can't promise I won't paint up the new parts, but chances are slimmer I'll leave those alone. For some reason, however, I really like the clear base figure for the Tri Striker figure though. *shrugs* But it was pretty cool to have that sense of anticipation for my Lucky Revoltech Bag prize. Who was it in the end? I seem to remember some speculation that it was Gunbuster? Yup! It was, in fact, GB. I still haven't opened this yet. I actually have the 2005 mono-shaft version as well. Guess I'm waiting for the proper moment to open and enjoy. (***kinda like what the old Micronauts toys used to do back in the day) zozo-Mag Dude, you're absolutely right. AB was heavily influenced by Henshin Cyborg and Microman toy lines. Check out the Trigun manga excerpts cyrano Posted a few comments up. There's some more info in the wiki down there in my signature I do hope that everyone takes a few minutes and head over to cyranos' wiki. This should be required reading for fans. Great info breakdown of the AB line and Revoltech in general.

SchwEEt!
Man, if I weren't up to my neck in projects right now...... lol
("lol" evolving into a Dr Frankenstein laugh, into an evil grin...)
(...my conscience is edging me to buy more revo joints and stock up on weird revoltech parts...)
(.......man, I can see me now: in my Toyopsy lab, assembling some kinda hideous discombobulamutilated toy thing being beyond moral recognition this side of Venus...)
(...atomic batteries to power...)
(...turbines to speed...)
(...insert R2D2 bleep noises HERE "______________" ...)
...bingo: THE greatest Murder show on Earth. ;D

Uh oh. The official website seems to be down. KMS is still up though, so it's only provisional panic time for me.

AB is supposed to go live here soon with the first of the Devilmorphs. revoltech.in/ still has their promo info up. Devil Blood and Acid Worm are slated for release 10/1 still. It is troubling though that you can't get to the preorder page...*shrugs*

I am pretty new to Assemble Borg. I have a handful of figures but I am a long way from being up to speed.
I stumbled on this thread when doing a Google search so I thought I would register and say hi.
Is the Genocider part of the upcoming waves after the Devilmorph wave? I just want to know if this line will continue past the Devilmorph series

I'll have to google to see if these AssembleBorg characters have an official website. I'd like to learn more about them. So far, at least I like the Mr. Assemble character... must be that cool hairdo of his, looks like a 25th century rendition of Hawaii 5-0. ;D

I just want to know if this line will continue past the Devilmorph series Heya, welcome to the board. Always great to see more interest in the line. As far as I know, Kaiyodo hasn't made any official announcements for what's going to follow the Devilmorph chapter. I don't think I've seen a sculpt of the Genocider either, just the sketch. I'd say it's too soon to be worried though. It's been pretty normal for the line to go for fairly long stretches without much news. I don't expect to hear much until months after chapter 5 finishes coming out.
