OK, as promised, here's another larger (I suspect) plastic version of the same vehicle:

The one thing that makes me think these aren't made by Clover of Japan is their construction. They're too complex and have too many individually casted pieces compared to most Clover figures. The elbow joints alone makes me suspect.

Sorry Myles, thats the only one I've seen and don't recall the description (or sadly, even the selling price). What interests me more is this 'Victorer Series' and the VJ-06 number. Seems there are 5 others (at least) of these. I thought maybe the big scale Grand Car and Sky Jet were part of it, but dont see the name or number scheme on the box, so not sure. Love it that there's always something new to discover - 35+ years later Edit: Ha, found VJ-11, so there's more.

Oh wow! That Grand Car is totally the one!
That must draw some serious change. Thanks for posting that, Bill.

NP. Yeah, the Grand Car will fetch 40-50k+ in good/complete condition. Too many wants, not enough cash!

Wow, nice. Slight difference in price from the Morphy's one.

Yeah the Morphey's one was such a fluke. I was ready to throw down for it, but did not need too. I think I used up all my toy karma on that one and met stiff competition on YJ for sure. I guess if you add the two together, they even out to an average price for each one. I have to look at it that way or I will freak at the price difference. Lol
but what can I do, I doubt another will show up for a while . Funny how rare items show up a couple at a time then disappear again.

So do you plan to keep both? Is one box nicer than the other, and one tin nicer than the other? Can you make a set of the two better ones and just sell the other to recoup costs? I know from your Gaikings that you don't mind multiples, though.

I could I guess but the tins are in the same shape. The second one is a better box and that is why I payed the "extra", but to be honest I think I am going to keep both. I could never sell the Morphey one. It has too much meaning and came to me in such a serendipitous way. There is something funny about managing to score the one piece you spend a decade trying to get,and you manage to get more than one within 4 months of each other.
Plus I want to write a Tale of two Leos Brog. ;-)
