Shiny metallic painting on the white armor parts, that's pretty much it. And I just find out - it is another webshop exclusive!!! Dame it. Looks like it isn't - it's up for pre-order on amiami. I'm curious to see HQ photos of it; regardless, I'm definitely not double-dipping on this thing. The O Gundam looks nice, but I'm definitely not biting at ~$160 shipped. Make these web exclusives available outside of Japan, Bandai!

Since I don't have the 'normal' version. This is a great news for me. Hope we will see some photos soon....

nice link! but is that paint smudges on the base of the antenna? i juz collected mine today yet to open, but the box is also kinda smaller, way smaller than the recent GFFMC unicorn gundam, looks like it will be more in scaled with the GFFMC #1001 i think.

Any review of the Metal Composite Unicorn somewhere? It occurs me that this is a very common question and yet, the answer (as far as the RJ community seems) is "no." A lot of us have one, some of us have posted photos, but no, there isn't an actual write-up about it as far as I can tell. I even posted a review of the bonus item that came with the initial release on my blog, but not a review of the figure itself. Silly. But at the time, I thought I had something unusual and that there would be plenty of reviews out there already. Short answer is: it's like a really solid and heavy Master Grade kit that comes pre-assembled. Has a dual gattling gun weapon that's not in the kit, and the usual Fix-Figuration stand. It's almost-perfect transform (the head has some plates that need to come off, turned, and put back on). Finish it pearly-white and lots of printed markings. And also very cool.

Looks like the new coating version has a glossy "clear-coat" sheen on it. Take a look at the last picture and check out the legs where indirect ambient light is being reflected... I guess it's kind of cool, but I personally don't like it much. While I'm not big on overly-weathered figures, I do still want my figures to look real and for some reason I don't imagine a Gundam mecha to be in gloss finishes... (well, except the Hyaku-Shiki which is another story altogether).

agree...but i was expecting the same kind of metallic paintwork you see on PG and MGs gundams. as far as the pictures goes, it merely looked more like a glossed-up version of the previous release

I was hoping it would be closer to the Hong Kong Night version Pyscho Gundam! Oh well...

Checked the links and GFFMC Gundam 0 looks like the first MC releases ... painting instead of plastic. Anyone here who has GFFMC Gundam 0 around? Confirm the painting, quality etc? Worth money?
