Frankly, I'm hoping they re-build it from the ground up as the YF-19 is one of the more disappointing Yamato Valkyries I've ever owned.

hmm i am wondering if they will release the sound booster add on for this t seems up yamato's alley to do so. i was thinking of getting the smaller 1/100 but this sounds much more interesting

I heard that the original 1/60 YF-19 from Yamato has many problems which has been gradually improved with the subsequent releases (the 25th Anniversary Black Edition, the Bird of Prey and the Double Nut). Hopefully, the Fire Valkyrie version will perfect the previous versions. mojacko: My 1/60 VF-1A Max TV Version which arrived several days ago has not break... yet; and it's a pretty fun toy. |

I'm desperate to see reviews of the transformation. I've loved the VF-19 and hated it for it's arms-over-wings GERWALK mode (nobody's gotten it right, IMHO, the recent Hi-Metal gets pretty good but... still not perfect)... If Yamato does this perfect-transform then really want to see how they did the head antennae and "fin." I mean, that' either anime-magic or really tricky collapsible parts. I have faith though - Yamato did the retractable heat-shield on the VF-1, they'll be sure to surprise us with a cool solution again.

the VFf-19 is a great design . i like the chunkiness of
this figure . I bought the YF-19 as soon as I could .
I hated the YF-19 b.c of the nose cone not locking
when in Battrod mode and the flopiness that
followed ruined it for me . So I got it and then sold it.
the bandai 1/100 isn't perfect but i really prefer it
over its yamato 1/60 cousin .
If reviews for this show that its better than the YF-19
then i may just get this . for now I'm just waiting .

wow, ankle joint really stick out even when shot from above. Maybe it's supposed to be in somekind of extreme posing mode? Chest appears to be flopping above the rest in Gerwalk just like the yf-19's, I was hoping for some visual improvements on this vf-19 gerwalk  I know it's still too soon to say though, and also battroid and fighter are the most important to me anyway and these look very good |

I'm not feeling this design, it has thunder thighs and chicken arms but it does look nice in fighter mode though.
