Hello, yes about £400 total, so maybe $650 us Im still working on the other leg, not much to show really, just a mirror of the first leg, I'll post some pics soon. Had a bit of a set back, been working on getting the oled screen in place in the head and I think I must have danaged the ribbon cable on the botom of the screen as its started to fail. lines of the display are dropping out, no chance of sending it back as ive modified it somewhat now. So i've either got to spend ANOTHER £70 or forget the whole head thing, im scared even if I get another I might screw that up too  |

OUCH! Man, that Sucks! I hear you about that screen. I thought it was just an old screen recycled from some other gadget, but it seems you paid for it brand new, right? And that's the screen you need for that specific function, too. I can only imagine that can't be don't simply by hacking an old cellular phone screen***. ***If a cellular phone screen can play back small videos, I'd think it could probably work for this purpose. This raises some interesting ideas just for mere gadget decorations and mods... more leg  The little shock absorbers were made from 4 pieces, the cylinder with a U shaped piece on each end. I have now remade using 2 pieces, from one piece of bar.  glad all this is done  |

Feet  these were a pain but finally I have a set of 4  again I wasnt happy with the 1st back of the foot I made so using that as a template I made 2 new ones out of a single piece of delrin. Also the little pistons were ally rod with a styrene U shape. I have now remade both side using a solid piece for each half of the piston.  all together now  Same again here, using the styrene as a prototype I machined a new set using delrin.  |

Ok Drum roll please!  standing on its own 2 feet!   Test fit of the chest, this is as far as its getting for a day or 2, I need to strip it down again and modify a few bits.  |

Not easy to photograph this as its huge! He does balance ok on 2 feet, but obviously top heavy. I need to raise the hips and hydraulics up a bit to get him looking a bit taller.   (yes thats my hand scared it'll fall over!)  legs   A lot of the panels and stuff is obviously not attached and all the pipes etc need to be done. Cant take any more pics nw, already back in about 100 pieces! |

wow he looks great and is really big! kudos on a great job so far, cant wait for it to be complete.

I wanted him clean, like new. got the head setup where I want it, seems to be working ok.  some shiney pics   made this stand that will hook inside the body, just to give support so he doesnt topple over, makes me feel safer!  new screen installed, I forgot how complicated i made it!  test run seems ok   |

WOW! That stand friggin RUUULES! SOC-grade 2 da Max! When Robie's completely built, would you post a video showing a demo of the moving parts? That face screen gots me curious.... I'd like to imagine Robocain as a CEO in an office... walking by a cubicle and catching a secretary yapping on her cel phone when she oughtta be getting work done.... he leans over the partition wall (the wall bends under his weight, the secretary scared sh*tless) his face zooms right in front of her's... his face pops open and the animated face in the screen shouts at her "GIT YER YAPPIN HAIRY SHORT-SKIRT ASS BACK TO WORK, BEEEOOOTCH!!!" ;D zozo-Magengar |
