I wish this poll would give us to choose them in orders. Obviously, Mazinger Z will lead for sure! I just choose Great Mazinger because I think it deserves some love.  And I am in shock when I see the result - UFO Robot Grendizer is in the LEAD!?  I wonder it is becasue Mazinger Z is a few years older and more people have seen Grendizer rather than Mazinger Z... Nope, not cuz Mazinger Z's older than Grendizer (maybe it's one of the minor reasons) but it's because UFO Robo Grendizer is an advanced show. It has deep story and the character of Duke Fleed touches your heart 'n feelings. IMO, Grendizer is not only the strongest machine in the Mazinger canon (even if it's not officially mentioned by Go Nagai) but the anime is preferable to the fans because it goes beyond comedy/action elements, where you can see tragedy, drama, morals and values in addition to the Mazinger Z action 'n comedy! Grendizer is known as the King of Space...but I claim it as the King of Super Robots.Once I get my Revoltech 085, the ultimate battle will begin ;D  |

I have to agree with TMZ... As much as I enjoyed the
Shin Maz series, it ruined the continuum of fan-appreciation
and excitement for the Mazinger line.
I hope the Mazinkaiser SKL ovas will make up for it.
For some reason Great Maz didn't receive much fanfare
as Mazinger-Z; but then still, it has its loyal fanbase.
Grendizer rocks with fans all over Europe, so of course
he deserves his props and shoutouts.
I never saw the God Mazinger series, so I don't have
any perspective for it from its fans' point of view.

Guys, I want to buy only 3 figurines from the Shin Mazinger Impact 10 set package! Is there is anyway I can tell which robot is inside? I mean even if the box doesn't display the name of the robot, if I open it 'n sneak a peek...will the box be ruined or something? |

I don't know if the 10-pack figurines can be separated and sold individually. Might as well get thw whole package. Then later on, if you just wanna keep only the three which you like, you can sell the others. zozo-Magengar |

Sorry to burst your bubble dammage7, but Grendizer doesn't stand a chance against Mazinkaiser. Even Great Mazinger proved too much for Grendizer, and Mazinger Z gave Grendizer a good whooping in the Click-Manga from Dynamic.
Grendizer is strong, but not that strong. However, I must admit that Grendizer's armor appears to be more resistant than Mazinger Z's and Great Mazinger's... or maybe Grendizer's enemies were way weaker than the Mazingers' enemies.

I mean look at you comparing the Mazingers from Mazinkaiser OVA version that are the weakest of all versions with Grendizer from the classic anime show. seriously?, thats really a miss-match there and no, there is no true full data of how much power Mazinkaiser has because there is no data of him how much he gives so i must question that power output that you are giving to a degree. Besides if anime is our only source then Shin Mazinger Z beats Grendizer in anyway. and where did you get that info of the atk power of Grendizer and Mazinkaiser |

However, what has appeared in the series, OVAs, and mangas are the facts we should be using. Everything else is just made up stuff from people that have either bought licenses to profit from the characters, nothing more. Like I mentioned before, Grendizer has suffered defeats from mazinger Z & Great Mazinger. In other stories Grendizer has also defeted them as well. Grendizer suffered damage from King Gori, which ripped its arm off easily. GinGin also damaged the cockpit window. I also believe Grendizer got damaged several times in the manga, but I need to go read it again because I'm not too sure. On the other hand, in the anime Mazinkaiser has suffered nothing! Not in the initial 7 OVAs and not in the Mazinkaiser vs Ankoku Daishogun OVA. However, Mazinkaiser did get messed up in the Manga. One last point I want to make is that the Mazins, especially Mazinkaiser regularly fought two or more enemy mechas at the same time, but Grendizer was always in a one-on-one fight. Again, I understand you want Grendizer to be the strongest, but the history of these four Go nagai creations speak for itself... sorry! }D |

actually, Kaiser received damage to the cockpit on episode 7 in the ovas, but then again Grendizer also had some control problems as well, but who doesn't? the cockpit is the weakest point of all mechas.
but seriously, making comparison of Mazinkaiser and Grendizer is not possible. the way i see it is that Mazinkaiser is the Grendizer of the OVA Universe while Grendizer is the Mazinkaiser of his Universe.

Actually, the Kaiser Pilder control stick/helm was damaged, but the Kaiser Pilder itself was not even scratched. Grendizer's cockpit was cracked by Gin Gin.
I don't like the SRW game powers they give the mechas, that's why I didn't even bring up the Kaiser Nova attack. To me, if it is not in the anime or manga then it doesn't exist...
...but unfortunately for Grendizer, the Kaiser Nova attack WAS in the manga...

true, but still the controls got busted either way which for both mechas or any mecha is a dangerous thing to happened for a pilot. Which btw did you know that in Mazinkaiser vs Ankoku Daishogun Grendizer does a cameo? at first i heard of this i was like no way, then i went to see the movie again and its true, its a small cameo but is a awesome cameo as well GoNagai in it. lol

First, I like Mazinkaiser so much as well, but I am a comics artist & animator, so, I have to be very academic with this. My opinion is based on designer-facts, as I brought numbers and statements from the Mazinger Bible and I can bring more convincing facts from the series to indicate that UFO Robo Grendizer is the strongest in the Mazinger canon. Thats incorrect, neither Grendizer nor Mazinkaiser and Shin Getter are kings of who is the strongest. the only title those 3 have are the controversy of try and prove who is strong title. until i see an official movie where all 3 are facing a new force, a new enemy, no recycle from any side, then and only then is the only time i will accept there rank. But until then this discussion is an annoyance made by us the fans just to prove nothing. btw Boss Borot is the strongest  |

I only go with either official manga, anime, or OVA events. All other things, including the Mazinger, Getter Robo, Gundam, Evangelion Bibles mean zero to me. It is just stuff companies that purchase license rights for the characters want to put in, nothing that EVER comes out in anime, OVAS, or mangas.
By the way, you scales are missing Shin Mazinger which in the manga says it is 30 meters tall...
And one last thing, of All Super Robots, the only one that has not even been scratched in anime is Mazinkaiser. All others have suffered damage at the hands of their enemies. That alone speaks for itself as who's king of Super Robots. And I don't even like Mazinkaiser that much...

My friend, both Shin Mazinger Z & Mazinkaizer SKL are completely out of this comparison as they are considered from another world (anime extras)! Even with the new Bandai cards where confirming that Mazinkaiser is stronger than Mazinkaizer SKL (which I've expected) and Shin Getter Robo...I will not take it as a bonus for Grendizer using the second attached image here. I'll stick to the official sources and stats. Now, let the numbers speak (and if you do a good research, you will find out that all the numbers below are accurate and official) |
