I love the Maz Bible so much I gotta have it TWICE! Thanks! The coolest thing about it: it details every aspect of the Mazinger timeline (all three Mazingers, and Grendizer as well). A good example of this is in the "Mazinger-Z" chapter which shows all of the mechabeasts in their Toei TV versions as well as in their pre-manga versions... and each one includes data on their height/weight/weapons/speed/etc. The same for all of the vehicles and Laboratories. Most of the artwork includes story-board style drawings and sketches showing each item in its concept stage and rough-draft before their finalized state. ...of course, it's all in Japanese (except for the numbers) but you still get an idea about each of these robots and accessories. This bible also covers some side-projects such as the Violent Jack mangas, among other series. I'd like to see this bible translated into English someday. Thanks for sharing! zozo-mag

I just found this here! Outstanding, thank you for sharing these cards. I had never seen them before even in stores. Now we can definitely tell who are the mightiest robots and their pilots. I would like to see Gaiking and Gurren Lagann included as well. Maybe they will appear later? Thanks! Some cards from Vol.1: Yeah, Grendy got shafted by Bandai's "data reseach team"... }D

The only place these cards can go to...is the toilet!Do you really think that Gundam (Bandai's best $elling toy) is stronger than Mazinkaiser or that Great Mazinger is stronger than Grendizer? Here on the Mazinger canon thread, there are 2 FACTS according to official bibles, booklets, encyclopedias and official DVD charts. Fact #1: Grendizer (& Mazinkaiser) are superior to Great Mazinger who's super to Mazinger Z. Fact #2: Go Nagai has never officially released a statement on who's superior to the other between Grendizer and Mazinkaiser. However, in the 2000 Mazinkaiser promo we can see that he listed Grendizer, Shin Getter Robo and Mazinkaiser on the same line. Note: the new Grendizer from the Mazinkaiser's era has never appeared yet, unlike the new Mazinger Z and new Great Mazinger from the Kaiser OVAs/movie. Oh, I almost forgot there is a Fact #3 In the anime, Duke Fleed (Pilot of Grendizer) is always the strongest and the leader of Go Nagai's super robot teams. Now, here's a nice video made by an Italian Goldrake fan...

Now, now... those cards are from Bandai and as official as everything else out there. I may not like them, you may not like them, but the fact remains - the cards are the official info by the official owners of the characters (at least for now). }D

You know I am into the business and I know how it goes. Licenses end at some point. The legit owner of the characters is the creator of the characters. Who is he? Kiyoshi Nagai! Who is Kiyoshi Nagai? He is Go Nagai! And what did Go Nagai (the creator of Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger and UFO Robo Grendizer) say? He said the same I wrote above in my previous post which I don't think I have to rewrite for the 31365354349002 time again, I believe? Toy$ 'n card$ and moneymaker ba$tard$? LOL! Nah.

It is what it is. As the saying goes, money talks and bullsh*t walks. Go Nagai should've held on to his creations instead of selling them as he did. Todd Macfairlane (the Spawn creator) mention the same thing regarding his characters in one of his first interviews. He said he would not sell out to bigger companies (DC and Marvel) just so they could mess around with his creations. Unfortunately Go Nagai did not do the same and now... you get those 100% official cards. }D

I didnt mean to cause any arguments, I was just bringing up that the cards were really great. I personally dont take anything to heart unless it is brought up in the manga or the classic animation of these robots. We can see by the ommission of the classic Mazinger Z and the inclussion of Shin Mazinger in those cards that this is all about merchandising what is popular right now. Since Gundam is the money maker for Bandai, it is natural that they would make it the top dog in those cards, also made by Bandai. As far as the classics, Im sure the same thing applies. The ones that have not been remade are left behind and take a back seat to the newer ones, like Mazinkaiser and Shin Getter Robot. Great Mazinger is made more powerful than Grendizer because of his appearance in the Mazinkaiser anime. Im sure if they make a new Grendizer animation he will be more powerful than Great Mazinger and at least equal to Shin Getter Robot, or even as powerful as Mazinkaiser. I still like the classic Mazinger best, because he was not the strongest, or fastest, or had the best armor, but he had the biggest heart of all. Of course, Bandai screwed me and did not even put him in those cards.

Well TheMazingers is probably right... if you ask any Bandai exec what their most powerful robot is, they will tell you it's the robot that is making them the most money that month.
Besides, everyone knows that the most powerful robot is 7zark7.

Besides, everyone knows that the most powerful robot is 7zark7. But of course! Also... - Paul Sorvino can kick higher than Jean-Claude Van Damme ... ;D because Bandai says so. - Aquaman can run faster than The Flash ... ;D because Bandai says so. - Kylie Minogue is still a virgin ... ;D because Bandai says so. So, that makes Mazinger Z superior to Great Mazinger and UFO Robo Grendizer, because Bandai says so. ;D Yeah, right!

Bro, it really doesn't matter. How many times have the character concepts of every single character created has been changed? A LOT! So, if for example, Sunrise decides to make a Gundam capable of blowing up the universe with one shot, then that's how powerful that Gundam would be. If Dynamic decides to just vaporize the Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter, and Grendizer characters in a future OVA, then Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter, and Grendizer would be done for. If DC decides to kill Batman, then Batman would be dead. If Marvel decided to make the Hulk only as strong as two men, then that is exactly how strong the Hulk would be. You, me, everyone else can think anything we like, but the fact remains that until we purchase the rights to those characters ourselves, the current owners can and will do as they please with them... therefore, those cards have been created. }D
