Those belly-belt missiles..... this is the first time I've heard of it. I'm guessing it's for storage. But then, that's a long trip for those missiles from "storage" to his hands!
Nice chart there!

Nice chart there! zozo-mag Yeah, it cracks me up when I think that they go all the way from his belly to hands! Maybe they were planning to make him shoot 'em like Great Mazinger. We already discussed this here before, but still no official word on it. Cheers!

wait... i though that was the computer room that Duke goes down in an elevator inside Grendizer to fix it when it got damage severely by the solar power saucer monster he was fighting.
As for the Grendizer hand missiles, i think is a one time use? because i can't remember he use it that much or for that matter ever again. is like Mazinger Z's finger missiles or the Great Mazinger's Freeze Breast Burn. looking to the diagram, how the hell those missiles goes to his hand to begin with? there is no clear passage for it even when looking at his arm although i assume the missles are store in that big cylinder piece in his arm.

That's the mystery of those half-cutaway super robot drawings, somewhere inside the armor there's always some kind of missile rack. lol Even the Steel Jeeg shows a cutaway at the closing credits of his episodes.
The "cutaway" (inside mechanics exposed) seems to be Go Nagai's trademark or signature artwork feature among his super robot characters.
But then later on comes Brave Raideen, who shows its cutaway in a couple of episodes while healing himself from battle damage during his inactive mode far underground beneath his Godhead Mountain hangar. Raideen isn't a Go Nagai robot character, but it's obvious that Go Nagai's famous robot armor cutaway inspired other robot anime shows to do such similar visual reference effects for their robot characters as well.
Gotta chalk it up to Go Nagai, he pioneered so many things about robot anime it's no wonder he was regarded as 'setting the standard' for the future of giant robot anime shows.

- In the SMZvsAD manga, Mazinger ZERO is finally defeated and Minerva X "quantum leaps" to another reality which initially looks like it was based on the Great Mazinger anime.
- Tetsuya gets critically injured frequently during his battles with the Mycenae but seemingly makes a miraculous recovery every time. Shiro then finds out his secret: Tetsuya, or more accurately the current Tetsuya, is the latest clone to activate. When a clone is near-death, it is disposed of and his memory is uploaded into the next one. Tetsuya is seemingly unaware of his true nature.
- A battle between Great Mazinger and Ankoku Daishogun is interrupted when they both notice the presence of cloaked UFOs.
- Minerva notices someone who looks like Koji in a news report about UFOs. She and Sayaka managed to find him at a NASA facility but their happiness at seeing him is cut short when he introduces his fiancee (or wife?), Maria.
- On a ranch somewhere in the USA, Maria and Duke have a talk about Minerva, Great Mazinger and the Mycenae.

I guess that's why I don't read all those 'alternate universe' type side-show mangas; there's too much crossing over for me to keep up with. lol

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before...but whats with the proportions of the Pilder and Brain Condor? Seems like the Pilder of Mazinger Z is much larger then the Brain Condor. Every figure I have looks that way...and its super obvious with the ES Gokin figures. Is it just the way GM has to be because of his more "streamlined" head?

The Hover/JetPilder is much more wider in the landing horizontal position as oppose to the Brain conder landing on its vertical position. However the Brain Condor is capable on shrink in size (compact itself) while the hover/Jet Pilder only does is bend or hide the wings. another point would be is that the Hover/Jet Pilder cockpit are capable to carry up to 2 or 3 people in it (not counting pilot) while the Brain Condors cockpit is capable of having 1 which is the pilot, however it could carry 2 people but the person would have to go on the lap of the pilot.

Did Great Mazinger use both his right & left index fingers or both his swords to do the Thunder Break attack in an anime, manga or a SRW game?

Did Great Mazinger use both his right & left index fingers or both his swords to do the Thunder Break attack in an anime, manga or a SRW game? Yes. For example, at the end of the Mazinger Z vs Ankoku Daishogun OVA, Great Mazinger finishes off one of the enemies with a double Thunder Break attack. }D

correct, in fact in the movie GMvsGR he uses both Mazinger Blades to stab both eyes of the alien monster and proceeds on using a double Thunder Break on the blades acting as lighting rod.
in the SRWZ1 they make a reference to such attack as different attack animation.

Pilders = a Mini Cooper with large fans (or jet engines) on the sides. Brain Condor = a 1969 Volkswagen Beetle with wings and a large dorsal fin. At least that's how I envision it, for size reference. zozo-mag

I use cars as my own visual reference for Scale size; and the Mini Cooper visually seems easier for me as a Hover Pilder because it's short and stout; while the Beetle is narrow and longer than the Cooper.
If I place a Mini Cooper on the roof-top of an 11-story building, the building would be my "Mazinger-Z". (Average floor-to-ceiling height is about 8ft)
But, yeah, as far as car "style" is concerned, Tetsuya seems more like a slick Corvette or an Alpha Romero guy. lol
