A shame it's not a fully new design but I like it. Any image of battroid mode?

I hope those aren't the colors. On my screen it looks sort of like a peach color.

It's white and pink/red but that pic has been around and it's just a prototype so who knows what the actual production colors will be, I'm hoping for a deep red. No pics of Battroid mode yet, I guess they don't want to reveal to much too soon or at least not until it's closer to the date of the release of the second movie. I might have to get this just for the paint scheme alone, it feels so Canadian lol.

Better pic but I think this is the model version.

Yes, it's the model, although it does give a nice indication of what the color scheme is.
Personally I dig it.

Yeah I like it unlike the guys at Macrossworld, you'd think this was the worst designed VF ever and in typical Macrossworld fashion once there's blood in the water they attack like piranhas. Personally I'd actually wait to see all the modes and get more info about the new design before I start bashing it and breaking out the aeronautical books and saying how the wings should be so and so far back from the center and that wouldn't work in real life and blah blah blah.

Chen, these are based off the second movie, right?

Yeah, it should be out soon. If you haven't seen the first one I highly recommend it despite the constant singing the final fight scene is pretty amazing and the VF-25 with Tornado pack is one badass machine.

Chen, these are based off the second movie, right? Yes...which is out in theaters 2/26/11. Apparently the YF-29 incorporates the maneuverability of the Tornado Pack and payload of the Super Pack in its base form. She should be quite a beast.

I think it'll look all right in battroid mode and decent in gerwalk mode but nothing special, personally I think the original VF still looks the best in battroid and gerwalk mode while pretty much every other design hasn't come close. They destroy it in fighter mode but other than that they just don't have the nice proportions like the VF-1's had especially the VF-22, it looks like a skinny guy wearing a potato sack on his head.

the VF-22, it looks like a skinny guy wearing a potato sack on his head. Heh, I agree with you there. I don't see what there is not to like about this design. I think it looks very cool.

It still looks kinda empty in the back... that's the one thing I do not like about the Frontier Gerwalk modes.

The headsculpt and the colors remind me of the Ingram Economy from Patlabor.

I'm so getting this but I gotta find a pre-order deal, 17,850 for a standard DX figure is kinda high.
