Mike, that is friggin AWESOME!!! I don't know which of your custom-made jumbos I like best, they all look damn Badass and very well-professionally made. That Boba absolutely ROCKS! And so does that Black Ox. Speaking of the Black Ox jumbo, perhaps you can answer my question: What is that cup thing in Black Ox's chest? I've seen it on a rare (Popy?) Garada-K7 jumbo, so rare that it was worth $15,000 a few years ago. That cup thing has an extension going on the back of the body as well, what is it? I also like the idea of 3D printing objects for these custom toys. I'd like to send in a Mazinger-Z head and a Great Mazinger head to Shapeways so they can print the heads out for me so I can use them as templates for casting resin dupes from them. Thanks! And Thanks for sharing, I'll follow your blog and I'll bookmark this thread too. zozo-Magengar

Thanks a lot guys, glad you like it.
No I don't own a 3D printer, I order in two companies depending on what I need to print. Shapeways and Materialise. The first one for small stuff as they don't offer any real support or service, and the second one for larger pieces as they have an amazing support and they've really helped me a lot on several projects.
For the "cup" in Black Ox chest, well it's a ball launching gimmick like on Garada K7 and Green Ghost C3.
The Mach Baron cars are almost there, I need to cast a few of them first and redo the stickers properly.
More stuff coming soon as there's a few projects that are not there yet.
Thanks again
Mike

Wow, a jumbo with Balls! ;D Would be nice to have one so's I can Ball visitors in the face when they least expect it. ;D Shapeways is cool... I haven't gotten around to trying them yet. I'd like them to cast me a Mazinger head, but first I'll send them something simple like an SOC-styled platform so I can see what sorts of plastic (or vinyl, or rubber) materials they use. As for "Materialize" I've heard of that name as a program several years ago... their brand-name logo showed a race-car being modeled with colored attributes... I wonder if that is Them. I'll check it out. Thanks for replying. zozo-Magengar

Oh man - fantastic video!!!! Too funny. Man, I miss that show. So are you going to do a standard leg, or are you going to make a custom? It might be cool to create some interesting accessories, like the arm ones. For example, have a side panel opening fold down gun, ala the Battle Fever diecast! (I'll have a reference photo up soon - working on a new gallery item for the website.)

Thanks a lot. It was pretty funny to make and I'm glad you like it.
So normally the plan is to make only one leg. But I might end up doing both as it might be hard to get a perfect paint matching the original leg. So maybe I will do both legs so that at least they will look the same. But the price will be important also. So for the moment it's only one and not a custom job.

It's something i wanted to do but the parts are not hollowed correctly due to the size of it. They should have been but they're really small and there's some spare materials stuck in the little pieces.
I should maybe try to do a bigger print like 25 or 35% bigger and it might be possible.
