Yeah. But there are some folks that have no interest in it anyway. I may get two sets, depending on my wallet status. Who knows, maybe once it is completed it will increase the interest of the ones hesitating to get it... and therefore, my wallet too! ;D

Knowing mattel, they probably might extend the deadline a wee bit more, but I couldn't care less.
A word of advice if you want sven, go for the subscription.
All the other stuff will be available on mattycollector during it's sale dates so you don't need the subscription for that, but of course you gotta deal with the possibility of sold outs, but seeing as how the voltron 6" action figure is warming the mattycollector website, you gotta wonder whether voltron is really a hit like it used to be.
I seriously can't see how mattel can profit from the lion molds. Considering the mechanism and tooling involved, I would presume the cost would be much more for each lion. Maybe that's why the pilots are $15 a pop to kind of pad up the profits lost from the lions?
Another way I see it is that mattel will do a variant of the lions by making store exclusive re-release or variations. Maybe even a metallic 23" voltron for sdcc 2012 exclusive and they'll even throw in a Prince Lotor figure for good measure. ;D

You know Prince Lotor, Hagar, Zarcon, and a few henchmen have to be made... that's for sure! BTW, the Voltron is not 6", it is 8" tall. Now, if they wanna play nice, they can also make some 8" Robeasts to go with it. ;D

Oh yeah forgot that it was taller than most action figures.. but 8" i still too small for a combiner like voltron. While 23" is way too big imo, I would really want a voltron that is around the 10-12" size, for a while there I thought if I repaint that 8" voltron with metallic silver he'd be passable enough to be included with other japanese robot toys, but then again, the scale would just annoy me to no end seeing as he is a combiner and daltanius would tower over him or mazinger would be just as big as him, its just not right.

LOL Yeah, I kind of foresaw that one, mattel always does this to their subscriptions, but I was expecting the extension by just a few more days, but 1week huh? The subscriptions must be doing very bad if that's the case. TMZ, those are some nice pictures of voltron, can you post pictures of it with some socs, robot spirits or revoltechs? Just so we have an idea of how it will fit in.

Most of my stash of SOCs are not here with me, but which ones would you like to see? I do have some, as well as SRCs, Revoltechs, CM's, RD, Yamato, etc...

Thank you for the varied and funny pictures tmz, I think a lot of folks now have a different outlook on that voltron figure, myself included, He blends well with similarly scaled robots, still not getting it though but I will think about it if I see it sitting on a shelf in some shop that I visit.

Lastly mattycollector states that you must be 18 to purchase this product, I don't think they have any plans on making a toy for kids. They just like messing with us! ;D

Sorry brother, but this figure is heading for toy stores all over. The "Collector Voltron" is the one with the unformed Blazing Sword, but this same figure will be sold as a toy at Toys R Us and the likes of it. $30 for a toy action figure is not uncommon at all. Check out the Transformer toy prices...
