The one issue where I completely agree with Springloaded is that if a mattycollector.com member gets a defective lion, they should ABSOLUTELY be able to get a replacement. There should be no "maybes" if a lion really does have a faulty mechanism or a missing part etc. The entire way they handle defects and missing parts is ridiculous and a waste of money. Let's say your lion is fine but your pilot has two right arms. Why should you have to send the entire set back? Surely it will be cheaper for them to pay for the shipping of just the pilot (which is considerably smaller) both ways. Not to mention instead of keeping your good lion, you now risk getting a faulty one. So what happens when your new set arrives and the pilot is now fine, but the lion now has a problem? Guess we have to send the whole thing back again. More money Mattel throws away on shipping. And if it's the matter of a missing accessory by no means should you have to send anything back. Say I'm missing the extra head. Instead of sending the entire set back and Mattel sending me an entire new set, how about they just take the set they were gonna send me, crack open the pilot, take out the head I'm missing, and throw it in a padded envelope for next to nothing. Then you keep that open figure and if someone is missing a key, you can send them the key from that set without having to crack open another one. If someone has a faulty lion, now you've got a spare brand new lion sitting around that you can send them. You're saving money in shipping, and you're saving money in letting less product go to waste. Because I have to imagine that all the opened lions pilots that people send back to Mattel end up getting thrown into a wood chipper despite there being nothing wrong with them.

See, that is one of my biggest problems with MattyCollector. Put the word "collector" in your name and you should behave as if you are dealing with collectors. Have good QC. Have good customer service if someone has an issue with a product you sell them. The latter, part is the most annoying.

Yeah, says the guy who missed the Lion Voltron subscription service. Although I agree that if a part is missing, the vendor can ship such missing part. As I recall Yamato USA did it to me when I called them about the missing antenna on my Patlabor 1. Other vendors will not do it for various reasons. Yamato did it because the customer service representative was located in the USA, and I was a USA customer. Matty Collector has customer service representatives in India-Pakistan area, no matter how detailed you are, there will always be a language barrier. Therefore they are instructed to tell their customers to return the whole order. Once the factory gets the returned order, they should match your info with their records, so they will know what to replace. If you don't like how it works, you are more than welcome to e-mail Mattel directly about your concerns. And if they do not do anything about it, then cancel your subscription and do not do anymore business with them. Simple! I read a couple of months ago that people were feed up with MOTU subscriptions that decided not to renew their subscriptions. Mattel noticed and started doing some changes in the customer service department.

If I had half the problems that Atom have, I would have cancelled my subscription service and demanded a full refund faster that you can say "I will form the head."
Like many people in this forum, including myself, already said, we do not have the "issues" that Atom and other people have. The problem is that you are reading more negatives (exaggerated to a certain degree) from the net than the positives.

To be fair to MattyCollector they did replace my red lion in the end despite the tremendous amount of pain I had to go through.
I have no praise for their customer service though. However, I have always advocated to not hate the toy because you hate the toy company and their customer service. The Voltron toy deserves some love. I am glad to finally see Voltron owners standing up for this two feet giant.

My girlfriends MOTUC She-Ra broke. We emailed Matty. They asked for an order number which I couldn't find. Turns out I purchased her on eBay. They still sent us a new one for free. Well almost. They sent Bubble Power She-Ra. We didn't have to mail anything back. Guess their customer service, like anyone's, is based on which rep you get.

also, i was talking with my friends about something that even they haven't notice from the beginning of this line and its kinda true. The Black Lion should have been the first to be release on this line just to test the connection ports of the Blue and yellow Lion if they work properly.
if they don't lock in place then what you are gonna do?

Well with his Lance/Red Lion review for instance, he has a lot of good things to say. He has nothing bad to say about the terrible range of motion in Lance's knees and elbows. He has nothing bad to say about the fact that Lance's unhelmeted head is inexplicably flat. He's fine with the way Red Lion's legs fold. And most importantly, he's fine with the action feature.
