I would really like to see Bandai produce the following for SRC.
Effects - These would sell really well. Enemy robots - Especially from Mazinger etc. Display pieces - think diorama for your SRC to display on.

i would love the Effects they could be used for many other things and figures making them big sellers. i would love some sort of multi-display stand (i think those might be coming however) for the figures the first bunch could even come with a few small plastic display name plates for the series that you are putting on them.

Picked up my SRC Gekiryujin today, awesome! I'll post some pics when I get home. Now all I need is an SRC GaoFighGar and my GGG Final mecha collection will be pretty much complete... well, with the exception of the Genesic GaoGaiGar - but I don't like that particular mecha too much anyway. }D

I think I am the only guy on this board that does not want all the GGG mecha. I only like GGG. Though, I will admit Genesic GGG is pretty much uber badass looking.

Well, I'm not a real fan of ANY of them, except GaoFighGar. I just don't lke giant robots that do not require a pilot, have their own personality and feelings, and make facial expressions like a human. That is why I absolutely hate Transformers since they made their first appearance decades ago. But I did like the GGG Final anime... mainly because all the "Transformers" got destroyed! ;D }D

This is big. Finally two affordable alternative to the rediculously overpriced SOC and Konami Gokin of these two Gainax Super Robots. While I don't expect this SRC version of Gunbuster to separate and combine like the SOC version, still, I don't mine having a non transforming/combining chogokin with high level of articulation. As for Gurren Lagann, since people are complaining about the super light weight of the Riobot non diecast version, here is Bandai to the rescue. I wonder how they look. Can't wait to see the prototype pictures.

I'll most likely pick them both up, but I'm definitely not excited about those choices. Would've preferred either a Grendizer, a Mazinkaiser, or a GaoFighGar instead of those two. }D

For me this is perfect news, I don't own any Gurren Lagann figures so this will fix that plus I love Gunbuster but the SOC is way to fiddly and expensive to really play with so this will solve that. I HOPE Bandai doesn't go with the Revoltech way and try to make Gunbuster transformable, at that size there are way too many compromises and I would rather have a non-combining, super articutalted, well proportioned Gunbuster.

I don't have neither of those two robots. I also don't have Grendizer nor Mazinkaiser. So I welcome these two. I will be really thrill if Bandai released Grendy or Classic(?) Kaizer. I'm so glad Bandai's releasing robots I at least recognize... Please please release Groizer X from Shin Mazinger. I don't know why I like that chunky pug face so much...

I am so excited about these releases. I have several Gurren Lagann figures but I really want a SRC one. I was hoping for a big SOC one but this is going to be super articulated and mega awesome I have no doubt. This will be the SRC that will truely pierce the heavens!
Plus the possibility of seeing other figures from GL makes me smile. It also means they are checking off the poll list from a while back.
Gunbuster? YES! I love the look of the SOC but it is way to expensive and I missed it when it came out. I want a non-combining super articulated version. I would never have it uncombined anyways. All my combiners are combined and only are uncombined when I first get them.
Anyone wanting a Grendizer go out and get the Metaltech one. It is perfectly in scale with the SRC, just as articulated, and a fantastic figure. That company loves Grendizer and it shows. Seriously, stop waiting for the SRC one and get the Metaltech one.
I can understand the desire for a Mazinkaiser but not GaoFighGar. It seems to me the same as GaoGaoGar. Maybe I am missing something. But I am passing on the Aquarion Evol since it seemed almost the same (sans sword so any reason for me to get it was gone...yeah...I have a robot with sword fetish). What am I missing on GaoFighGar?

There is a HUGE difference between GaoFighGar and GaoGaiGar... H U G E!!! I don't really care much for the GaoGaiGar, but GaoFighGar is up there with Mazinger in my favorites list. ;D Way different, way different. I have the Metaltech Grendizer and it is perfectly in scale with the SRC Mazingers. As much as I want an SRC Grendizer, I know it will be too short when placed next to the Mazingers... unless Bandai makes an exception to the rule for it. ;D }D

TheMazingerZ we totally agree on the Metaltech Grendizer.
What is the difference between GaoFighGar and GaoGaiGar? I assumed GaoFighGar was just an evolutionary step of GGG. I figured GGGG was the final step.
So is it like Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Mazinkaiser?

YESSSS!!! Im so excited,Ill be saving MORE money!!
And just like I said earlier,we will NEVER see Grendizer,Mazinkaiser or any other classics in this SRC line. This once again proves it.This Bandai line is meant for modern Mechs and not the classics, which are reserved for the slowly dying SOC line. The Maz bros and Reideen were early entries when the SRC line hadnt yet found its course, remember the Mazinger Base?weapons pack 2 etc..?never saw the light of day as modern robots took over the line. The recent Shin Maz was just a fluke, besides its shin . Besides the Sentai SRC's which i do enjoy this line doesnt hold any promise for classics. I do find the GGG stuff a bit interesting but I also dont have a clue about the history. So CM's will be getting all my money.

Gaofighgar was built when Mamoru and Galion left Earth, so 3G had to build a replacement. It is a upgrade from your standard GGG since a lot of what they learned from GGG they built into GFG, but when GGG was equiped with the Stealth Gao II they seemed pretty even when they fought. Mind you it was a clone Mamoru and Galion so who knows if they were as powerful as the originals plus they were fighting Guy who has incredible will power. Still it was a great fight and you should see it if you haven't already.

When did Mazinkaiser become a classic? It came out after GGG and Gunbuster came out in 88.
