I would never buy one, but I agree that Astroboy should be an SOC instead. If the silly Doraemon, Hello Kitty, and even Dr. Slump characters got the diecast treament, Astroboy should too. }D

Astroboy needs the DX treatment! He's flaunted his insides more than often during his anime series, so yeah you bet he deserves to become the next DX. After all, he was one of the first anime robots to start this whole thing! Just sayin. zozo-mag

They are not actually getting SOC. Just Chogokin. I would love a Astroboy Chogokin though

There are at least 30 Super Robots I can instantly think of that would deserve the DX treatment way before Astroboy. }|

Lol, I forgot that Hellokitty and Doraemon was only Chogokin not SOC. But I still think an SOC release would be appropriate. I remember Takara made a DX Astroboy with a diecast inner robot part but it was a little weird but cool.
@baron Please give a little lovin to Astroboy, he's a cool little guy even if he looks like a superbaby :)He's the first anime robot that deserves a lot of respect. The 80's anime series was one of my favorite anime's to watch.

If it weren't for Astroboy, we wouldn't have everything Robot-wise in Anime and Manga, that followed the trend and built from that idea since Astroboy. I tried to watch the '80s version, but I couldn't really get into it. All I know is I like the '60s Astroboy, right up there with Gigantor. That little "super baby" had so much fire power he even took on an entire U.S. Airforce! zozo-mag

I plan o getting it, not to familiar with the show but as a basic figure the SRC line has proven to be very reliable. Besides I hardly have any green robots plus this would make a good toy for my other SRC's to smack around lol.

Aww. I guess I,m the only one who,s little let down.
I,ll let bros know when Amazon has a end of the year sale on him. Looking at him Bandai recycled lots of parts from Mazinger Z. Nothing wrong with that.
I was just hopeing for release of other favorites first...

It's been a while since I've heard of Crayon Shinchan, it was a funny show but the antics of Shin-chan can be a bit too much. I remember also watching Cyborg Kuro-chan which was shown after Crayon Shin-chan. I loved both shows but I loved watching Cyborg Kuro-chan more since there's mecha in that show. I actually wanted to make a copper Kuro-chan back then but I forgot and just remembered when Crayon Shin-chan was mentioned. Who wouldn't love an evil cyborg cat with a gatling gun arm?

It does not fit my collection.

It does not fit my collection. To be honest it doesn't fit in any robot collection. Crayon Shin-chan wasn't a mecha show and I'm also baffled as to why Bandai would even consider making an src release of this robot when there are a lot of robots that deserve to have an src version.

It has the head and feet of a Dexter's Lab robot! I will definitely pass on this one until Amazon is selling it for $20 shipped... }|
