I wonder how Bandai looks at all this. Back when there was just the SOC line, did Bandai have more sales for the SOCs back Then, than they have now? And, since the SRC line was created, is Bandai having more customers now for SRCs than SOCs? What was Bandai's true intention with creating the SRC line? We often interpret the SRC line as the " budget" gokin. But, does Bandai see it that way? For being "budget" gokins, some of these SRCs are going up in price on eBay through online stores. The SRC Brave Raideen is an example of rising SRC prices... ...to date, its average 'retail' price on eBay is $65 USD; while it is an average price of $77 USD at Amazon. I personally find that to be disgustingly outrageous. To be frank, I'd rather pay the original Manufacturer's Sugested Retail Price (MSRP) for the SRC Raideen. But, unfortunately, there's no such thing as "MSRP" in this hobby market, because... Toy manufacturers and retailers alike are milking these super-robot character collectable action-figures and models based on the robot character's popularity or obscurity. And, if they can make the item become even more "rare", that would cause fans to demand it even more, and then they'll use that as a front to jack the price up. I could be wrong about this, but this is how I see it and it aggravates me. Because I want that SRC Raideen, and now that I'm ready for it, the damn online retailers continue yanking that carrot away on a string beyond my reach. I will snag it one of these days... ...I will snatch dat beeitch by the bra strap like "Yo! GITCHO AZZ OVUH HERE!" LOL... " Budget Gokin", my freakin PuertoRican azz! zozo-mag

magengarYou can add the SRC Alteisen jacking up in price. I got mine last month for a little less than the original price which was also the last stock in my favorite store. I don't collect robots because I see them as an investment, I collect them because I simply love having them. These robots are a reminder of my youth and by having them with me I can always recollect the fun times I had when I was young.

It has the head and feet of a Dexter's Lab robot! I will definitely pass on this one until Amazon is selling it for $20 shipped... }| Hmmmmmmm...... if I were to buy this green booger from Amazon, what could I use from it? I dunno... but I'd definitely take it apart so that I could study its design and joints. Probably use it as a template for making enemy SRCs for my SRC Mazingers. I like its "ribbed" waist... I could certainly use that part for an SRC Garada-K7. The arms and legs, too. It's blocky square feet would start me a custom SRC Boss Borot! Nevermind, I'll sleep on it. lol ----------------------------------------------------------- Here's a couple of better pics, courtesy of CDX... zozo-mag Seems like re use of mazinger mold and modded it . Well.. might still buy it though, just to add to my collection

These robots are a reminder of my youth and by having them with me I can always recollect the fun times I had when I was young. I agree with you. That is pretty much how I view my collection, as the toys I've always wanted when I was a kid... toys of robots and figures from the anime shows that I had grown up watching through the years. Of course, back in those days- all we had were action figures, jumbos, model kits, godaikins, and small gokins. We didn't have SOCs or the cooler stuff such as the DX Mazinger or the MA-01 VV. So many of the robots in my collection have Very sentimental value, because they are part of the persons who gave them to me; mostly from many friends here at RJ. If something were to happen to me anytime now and I should pass away, I want my collection to go back into this community in some way, rather than entrust it all to anyone who will turn around and sell it at some sh*t-hole yardsale. These are not just toys. These are things we hold onto because we are connected To them and Through them in this community. zozo-mag

I would like to see a regular release SKL Mazinkaizer from Bandai. Or just make a SOC version, that would even be better!

Actually, it is the SRC Mazinkaiser that was made too big. The MazinkaiZer SKL is perfectly scaled with the Mazinger, Great Mazinger, and most importantly, with Grendizer. }D

The one that still is an oddball is Great Mazinger looking extremely small and even now that Kaiser is out he looks way to small. SKl, im not even sure what his actual size so can't really say if his accurate in scale.

Nope, I don't agree. The SRC Mazinkaiser is very much out of scale with the two previous Mazingers... and Grendizer. The animation varies, but going from 18 meters to 23 meters should not be that much of a difference in size - it's only about the lenght of a regular car! The Mazinkaizer SKL is spot on on size taking the Skull Pileder to pilot size ratio. }D

Please do a tutorial when you do chop your Kaiser. It would really help the rest of us if we ever go down that route

Mazinkaiser should be a tad shorter than grendizer and much smaller than shin getter robo

I'll think about it. Problem is that I have very limited space to work on the figures. Having a camera setup in there as well is close to impossible. One thing that I can almost assure, is that there will be some parts damage during the chop-chop process. Anything that's plastic and has been glued together will most likely break. }D

W W M D ? I'll tell ya W W M D... If I had an SRC Mazinkaiser SKL ("Shortie-kaiser") and and SRC Mazinkaiser ("Biggie-kaiser"), I would turn Shortie into a custom Mazinkaiser, and Biggie would become the custom SKL. In simple English, I'd swap the parts if I could disassemble both figures without causing permanent damage to either one or both. So, in the event of any possible damage: copy the original parts with resin and work with the resin parts. Of course, in Gravewolf's case, I'd bet he would give both Kaisers the bronze treatment if the opportunity were there. zozo-mag

Technically, the SRC Mazinkaiser is NOT the original SRW Mazinkaiser or the anime Mazinkaiser. It is just an original "SRC" Mazinkaiser. }D

The Mazinkaizer SKL is spot on on size taking the Skull Pileder to pilot size ratio. }D well yes animation varies as you said but then if Mazinkaiser gets reduce in size then the jewel piece would be in front of SRC MZ face and not above him as it should. If we go in pilder size then the skl pilder is also off if you compare it to the hover pilder on the SRC MZ, the SKL pilder should be even bigger in size (possibly twice the size) because of been a 2 seat pilot as well to accommodate the seat rotating gimmick which requires more space. hell if this is actually the case then the Kaiser pilder on the SRC Mazinkaiser is to small in comparison to the hover pilder or the skl pilder therefore it requires to be even bigger to accommodate the size which means kaiser should be even bigger.
