Hahahahahaha... okay, okay. coldbreakar, they do mention a prototype Great Mazinger in the Mazinkaiser OVA. However, there is no 25 meter Great Mazinger in the Mazinkaiser OVA. There is however, a 20.5 meter, better armored, and more powerful Great Mazinger in the Mazinkaiser OVA. At no point there is a bigger or taller Great Mazinger, that is bigger or taller than the 23 meter Mazinkaiser in the Mazinkaiser OVA. This is actually common sense too. The folks making the Mazinkaiser story would never ever dream of doing something like that. It is just not happening. But as I say that, I still have in my head the image of Boss Borot standing face to face with Grendizer and being almost as tall. Freaking artists!!! Anyway, you most likely got that info on the internet, where a lot of people always try to mix and match the information on the SRW games, and other non-OVA/non-anime information, with the anime and OVAs. I know this because I have seen it before, but I consider it just very entertaining fan-work. Unfortunately, it is out there confusing folks. It would be like saying that Mazinkaiser is really Mazinger Z evolved by Getta Rays, like the Hulk. And as stupid as that sounds, it is what happened in one of the SRW games to create Mazinkaiser. Now, here is another fact that affects us non-Japanese speaking folks: We go with what we see in the subtitles, which may be or not be accurate translation of what is really being said. For example, magengar did the english translation of the original Mazinger Z series about a year ago. As I watched the episodes, I noticed that he deviated from the original dialog on several scenes, putting his own twist on the translation. Basically, what the subtitles said was not what the audio was saying. So it is basically a game of common sense when it comes to these Super Robot characters. }D

Hi everyone , just for clearance about "Great Mazinger" in the First Two Episodes OVA of Mazinkaiser the one with black arms & Legs About 20.5 M 32 T is a Prototype made of Chogokin Z the Same as Mazinger Z, the one in the Final Episode is The Real Great Mazinger 25 M 32 T made of Chogokin Neo Z. I'm sure most of us watched the Final Episode that Great Mazinger "The Real One " Handled & Beat an Entire army of Mechanical Beasts with no sweat at all . So the real Great Mazinger is taller than Mazinkaiser? WTF

No, it isn't. Bad info there. Here is a capture of the supposedly 25 meter Great Mazinger right after its appearance in the Mazinkaiser OVA. And another of Koji looking down from Mazinkaiser's cockpit to the supposedly 25 meter Great Mazinger. And here we have two captures of the Prototype Great Mazinger next to Mazinkaiser: Notice something there??? I did... it is not taller than the 23 meter Mazinkaiser!!! }D

i never heard that Shin Great Mazinger was taller than Mazinkaiser, heck not even in the Super Robot Wars games said so and they just register him as 20.5M except been 5x more powerful and superiors form to the prototype in all aspects. However the pics that TMZ posted truly show that Kaiser was really small in comparison to his movie upgraded form where he nows literally makes ProtoGM like a toy looking.
however i will not deny that the ova had some unbalance size issues.

Yeah. I never understood why they draw Mazinkaiser so large in the Ankoku Daishogun OVA. Weird! Speaking of sizes, check out the trees and light poles in the picture where Great Mazinger is holding Mazinkaiser's Fire Blaster plate. I know that a light pole is about 20 feet tall (6.15 meters tall). Now, check out the robots right next to the light poles. The robots should be about 100 to 120 feet tall (about 31 to 37 meters tall)!!! And that is why official sizes pretty much suck. It is always best to judge by what you see with your eyes... }D

So then three light poles would reach Mazinger-Z's height, and he's just 59ft tall (18m). Give or take, about as tall as an 11-story building. Meh, I could go on and on about these robots' sizes. But I think we all pretty much get the basic idea just by what we see in those anime shows. In the long run, no matter what size those robots are, I'm happy to have them in toy form like I've always wanted. So then, the toys fulfill my childhood dreams. zozo-mag

And now if you draw a line from the head to head starting form Great Mazinger's head to Mazinkaiser you will see the difference in height yes Kaiser is wider but not taller then Great . But in the end I love them all every Mazinger is a unique one & i can't wait to get my hands on SRC Mazinkaiser. Oh and thanks to you TMZ Now I know how to upload the pic can't wait to share with you guys my collections .

Cool picture but I think like a lot of things with Super Robots, scale and proportion goes out the window when a cool looking pose or a scene of dramatic effect is called for. Great has always been smaller then Mazinkaiser except in one-off cool shots like that one which honestly can't really be relied on. It has no sense of scale or perspective, Great could be standing closer to the viewer or standing on higher ground or not even standing on ground but hovering. Who knows, but cool picture anyways.

@coldbreaker There's no way that Great Mazinger can be taller than Mazinkaiser. That's just one page and there's too much going on in the background that he might be stepping on something to look taller. Also if you look at his body then the legs are out of proportion if he's taller than kaiser. Even in the anime Great Mazinger is a little smaller than Mazinkaiser. But I do agree with the others that the SRC Mazinkaiser is too tall. I have a feeling that the src line is gonna replace the regular sized soc robots that don't need a combining or transforming feature since the newer src's are as tall as the small soc's. I just hope that the prices also won't go up along with the size increase.

Thank you Chen, i was thinking the same thing about the final episode of the ova that great mazinger & mazinkaiser are not standing on the same ground if you look closely there is a forest surrounding them. Thanks again Chen.

That's a nice picture. Which Manga is that from? I don't remember seeing that one in my Mazinkaiser manga. But yeah, Great Mazinker is definitely hovering there. Otherwise its legs would be deformed-silly long. As far as the final episode, it is clear that both are standing next to each other, and Koji is still looking down on Great Mazinger from Mazinkaiser's cockpit. Like I mentioned above, the Mexat.com forum information you got is nothing official. It is plain and simple personal opinions about the picture you posted. In no official OVA, Manga, Anime, or SRW game universe is Great Mazinger taller than Mazinkaiser. And is just common sense that the newest Super Robot Hero will be bigger and more powerful than the previous one. I think someone in Mexat.com was just a fanatic Great Mazinger fan, and just could not accept the fact that there was a new Mazin Hero in town. }D

Actually, in that picture Great Mazinger is standing way in front of Mazinkaiser. Now seriously, are you really going to stand by your statement that Great Mazinger is taller than Mazinkaiser? Do you really believe that, or are you just having fun? Seriously, no joke, are you?

If we can't see the feet we can't say which is taller. Maybe the Great is flying? Or he is on a higher ground?
From what I see in the OVA, if Great is 20m then Kaiser is at least 25m. I think these are the real heights of Dynamics's robots, from what we see in the anime, crossovers etc
Boss Robot 12m Jeeg Robot 14m Govarian 16m Mazinger Z 18m Great Mazinger 20m Getter Dragon 20m Grendizer 22m Shin Getter 25m Mazinkaiser 25m

Straight from the OVA. But individual sizes are irrelevant. What is relevant is that one is not much more taller than 1-head over its predecessor. }D
