I was just back from a Japan trip,
came home empty handed with regards to JMs..
only managed to bought this Combattler windup.
Prices for JM in the shops are climbing faster than Apple Shares lol

I hate myself for not buying Kitsir's friends Voltes!!
By the time another one comes up for auction, I'll have to sell my car or take the penalty for an early withdrawal from my 401K.
Jumbo prices have to level out at some point, right?

most probably will cost more than USD$3500 in ebay as some of my collectors friends are also eyeing a voltes JM..
I think the more popular JMs like the daiku, voltes , Spazer ,
godmars, robot factories will not level out...while the more common popys will climb at a slower rate.
There is a saying JM will only collaspe when the 1970s -1980s babies goes extinct in the world lol ;D

I totally agree. It will be a nasty bidding war for sure!
The Spazer on E-Bay was a scam. All the bids were cancelled on the last day. $96,000usd just made me laugh. I hope all the bidders after a certain point were just joking.
I think you might be correct. When all of the 30-50 year olds die off, the demand for JM's will also. I mean, how many teenagers today collect Elvis or Beatles memorabilia?

In the past month, I passed on a Voltes & God Mars jumbo. What was I thinking?!!!!
Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda!! I wonder if the person who bought Kitsir's friend's Voltes V will resell it or keep it for his collection.
What is your opinion DOE, will another Voltes V come up for auction in 2013?

dont worry it will come out, at the moment make sure you get ready your firepower for 2013 (lots of cash, credit cards, credit lines, lol) .
The only specimens that I have never seen it out on sale since the day i started collecting on all auction platforms and toy shops are the holy Garada, Robot factory's boxed daidenjin and a villian which i saw on Saito San's photo, i dont even know the villian's name , gold in colour with a claw arm lol..

The Voltes V for 3500$ was for me really overpriced. Fists were not originals, chest piece also and most of the stickers were also reproductions. So for a fully restored Voltes V, that's really a lot.
I can't understand people putting that amount in a piece like that.
Two years ago, a loose one in far better state would go for 200.000 Yens. It's true that boxed one are always selling for super high amount, and it will be the case for a long time I guess. But loose one that need to be fixed should sell for less than that.
DOE, the villains you are talking about is Lenzari, it's one of the hardest to get, probably the second after Garada. It's just a question of time to see all jumbos showing up on auctions. If you take the last two years, if you had unlimited chash, you would have been able to get every single Jumbo Popy available, well at least loose. And if you knew where to look, a lot more boxed. It's just a question of time.

Hi all, got my all time favourite self assembled JM the Tryder G7 by Clover. This is one of my favourite because of the transforming feature into vehicle modes for kids to ride. I am just mad over kid rides feature. Hope you enjoy my share: He comes in dismantled condition, to save some shipping $  I had fun fixing it up all night, I thought it is gg to be hell as i am not a DIY person, but japanese being japanese, their intructions made it real easy even though you cannot read japanese , here is the skeleton:  My final wingless G7 ! Anyone knows why there is an additional decal on my G7 chest?  One of my favourite part of the box :  cheers, d.o.e |

Thanks bros, After receiving this jm, I am even more convinced To focus 90% of my collection on jms. G7 is simply Majestic, his head design reminds me of the pharoahs, Some ancient Egypt rulers. The size of this jm is massive, The parts to build him up is well design, for example some Parts can be use to replace a missing part So that the entire jm is not affected if 1 skeleton is missing. I think that color difference may be in part to some color fading.
Mine are darker. And not pink. But more of a Shogun Red<--- typical red
found on Popy / Mattel Shoguns.
