i didnt realize the old Bandai/Godaiken ABEGA was teh small plane included with Albegas! I may get one as it looks modern enough! The vintage ABEGA is a great toy. You can find them at fair prices as they don't seem to get a lot of love from collectors. I doubt you'll ever see a modern take/version of him, would be cool.

Beautiful pics TMZ! I wanna kick my local post office's ass for lagging on customs, damnit! Thanks bro! Yeah, USPS is lacking these past few days, and that is with all the extra workers they've hired for the holidays! I've seen them out delivering as early as 7am, and even on Sundays! I went to the post office to pick up my ALBEGAS today, and the line extended outside the door - with workers on every window! I do have to say that I'm happy people are using the USPS more and more. Maybe their service will get better and faster. }D

Yeah, it is pretty cool. I got one right before I moved! }D Very cool did you know it was Albegas related? I didnt, only thought the names were alike I actually found out while watching the anime for the first time while I was in CA. Did you know that those are not the original ALBEGAS Control Ships? The original ones were pretty simple in design, did not combine, and did not transform into individual robots. I don't think they ever saw the toy form either. }D

I'm drooling over the poseability of this figure. How strong are the magnet connections? Also, how are the paint applications? No sloppy paint applications unlike the MP Vehicle Voltron, right?

Magnets feel pretty strong. ET also used a rubberized cup to provide more friction against the steel spheres. I have to say they have improved from earlier releases. You'll see very soon! }D

Damn, mine had some paint blemishes. Is Amiami good with exchanges? Or should I just deal with it? One part of the blue had a "spec" that was sticking out so I foolishly tried to wipe it off and it caused a dot of paint to be removed. Kinda like a dead pixel. And there are definite paint scratches on the black robot's lower leg.

I wouldn't bother trying to get a replacement from Amiami. As far as their concerned these are Japan only items and their doing you a "favor" by selling them beyond the licensed area.
I will also have to pass on this, I just got hit with a $550+ car bill so I'm not gonna pay my pre-order.

Overall, I'm still happy with the figures. It is a very "fun" set to fiddle with. My first "fun" with magnets robot.

Oh bro! Sorry to hear about that! Yeah, Amiami is worthless when it comes to USA customer service. Anyway, here are the Three Voltrons! Now I have to get to work on customizing that Vehicle Voltron so it can be a little more poseable... }D

I wish this guy was bigger. Would be nice to have him scaled similar to the vintige matchbox version as the modern golion and dariugger's are.

Finally got mine delivered today just in time before X'mas! I'm really happy with him. It's a lot more parts-forming than I like, but I kind of expected that. What I didn't expect was to have so many parts left-over in the combined form (the middle-torso and the waist parts come off and don't go anywhere). Was the vintage version like this too?
And the only magnet problem I have is the legs - the combined legs are a little bit to heavy that you can't easily pick up the combined mode by the body, you have to keep your hand on the legs a bit or else they fall off. The seperate robots modes are fantastic though.
Now I will go over the instruction sheet to see if I missed anything...

I should clarify - the legs hold on, but I need to take care. Can't shake him by the hips, for example.

They hold great,do you have them pegged in? The upper legs peg into the 2 lower sets of legs by means of a square peg that fits into a square hole, better check yours Im guessing they are not pegged in. Anyhow got my second Albegas as I just could'nt handle Not using those other cool weapons..LOL..here are the pics...

Baron, Looks awesome having one displayed combined and one not. I like that you do that with the combiners.
I've had Albegas sitting in my place for over a week and haven't opened, tonight will be the night!

I've been fiddling with the individual robots and I must admit I like. I like them so much I still haven't combined (one I do he may stay that way for a while with all the parts forming) I was worried, this being my first ET toy, but the quality and the magnets are fine IMHO.
Fiddling with this guy make me really want to get my hands on a soc godmars.

Fiddling with this guy make me really want to get my hands on a soc godmars. Oh yeah this ET gets my stamp of approval, unlike the other 3 ET toys i have which basically are kinda stinky, stinkier and stinkiest in that order.Atlanger,Daiku Maryu,Gaiking. I love my Godmarz, yes this robot is a definite reminder of the SOC.GodMarz is in my top 5 favorite SOCs of all time, all combiners I may add.In this order 1.GODSIGMA 2.Daltanious 3.VOLTES GX-31V 4.GODMARS 5.Combattler V GX-50 Thanks for the compliment too,I feel to display the Combiners in both modes really is a great way to display and show them off,so when I show people its like"These robots make up this guy",or "the lion, teh robot and the ship make this guy" I try to have 2 of each,i dont have 2 of Ideon or Daitarn, those take up too much space in both modes, and Daitarn you need 3 of to display them all anyhow, same with Ideon too really.
