reVolVerUnfortunately, it seems like those images with the colored crotch balls were used for the first Albegas release as well. Which, as we know, did not come with them painted. I'm not sure they'll change 'em now.. I'd really like they did, though. yeah,,, i just noticed that... i just hope it isnt the case this time.

according to some stores this isnt just a reissue its also a renewal version so i guess they fixed it and improved it i really want to get one since its on a reasonable price but im not sure about the figure quality I suspect the difference is they are including those extra new mini ships. That is what differentiates the "renewal" version from a "re-release". The actual Albegas Robots are probably the same. And unless they have figured out a way to get rid of the giant ball crotch there isn't much else they can do to radically improve the robot. Edit: Well what do you know! Looking at the picture of the "renewal" set on the previous page... it looks like they at least painted the giant grotch ball to match the waist color rather than leaving a shiny silver ball just dangling there like something from a Michael Bay movie. For those that don't have this one. It's an interesting set. Probably a fairly good example of both the good and the bad of the ET robots. It is an incredibly distracting adult kibitz toy. You will be constantly disaasembling it and reconnecting things other ways. Like one of those executive stress toys. Tons of parts to indulge in a lot of weird builds. As a Gokin... meh. The magnet joints are fun bot don't hold poses real well. At least not for long. It stands well in a neutral pose, and you can get other poses for photography etc, but the lack of clearly restricted joint movements takes some getting used to. I'm glad I have this guy. But he doesn't make me want to run out and buy the whole series, if you know what I mean.

personally and for me i dont like magnetic joints system with time the parts attached to it start to become loose
i have the CMs Gakken anime color and the magnets was a nightmare to deal with during photo shots and the tiny robots with him i couldnt even make them stand right it took me around 30 min just to take one photo for them, so after that i said no more magnetic joints system until some one highly recommend it
but this is just me some might love it, im still thinking about Albegas but im not sure because articulation is one of my top Priorities when i buy i figure

The Magnetic joints make for better more interesting toys than they do for posable collectible action figures. I mean they are fun to play with. Anybody who grew up with Kotetsu Jeeg or Baron Karza knows what I mean. Unfortunately toy safety rules don't let you really use them for kids toys anymore. Albegas as is a fun robot, just because all the parts and the magnetic joints let you do all sorts of crazy things. But all the ET toys are so expensive for plastic robots that don't stand or pose well and are really designed more to be played with.
