Ha...! They are from a very old vinyl figure that I chopped up almost 20 years ago. Thank God I'm a total hoarder and saved all the unused parts!  But I think I'm not going to use it. I'm afraid the friction of the plastic pants will eventually screw up the painted thighs rubbing against the edges. I may just cast the thigh armor in color, so the friction won't matter. But I was so set on using metal for the thigh armor... Oh well, the search continues. }D That would be the best way of doing it. A solid color cast won't lose its color from scratching. It will show friction markings after normal wear-n-tear from posing the figure often, in the spot where the part is in contact with other parts. zozo-mag |

Need to repaint the "gold" horns and eyes in Yellow, and the "white" armor for a light "bluish Gray", like in the Mazinger Z vs Ankoku Daishogun OVA.   }D |

You know... for some reason, I'm not liking the face sculpt of the 40th Anniversary that much anymore. To me the face on the regular GX-01R looks way more anime accurate. The only things working against it are the oversized Pileders and the long neck. I think that if I can fix those, it will be the best looking Mazinger Z yet.  }D |

The only things working against it are the oversized Pileders and the long neck. Yeah, but all SOC Mazinger Z noses are like that. Not one is broad in the bottom and thinner on top like the anime.
