I wish a 3rd party company like Mastermind Creations, TFC or Fans Project would attempt a Golion. Any of them could produce something light years ahead of Toynami and Mattel.

Those 3rd party TF companies would overprice unfortunately. Yes, but that's nothing new. 3rd party products are not mass produced products, but many of them (not all) have far better quality and workmanship that justifies a higher price tag. Let alone, collecting gokin is an expensive hobby. I would totally support a 3rd party company any day if they raised the bar with a high quality product of robots that we really want. That Matty Collector Voltron wasn't cheap and was awful.

Heck. Make it plastic and awesome. I don't care if it does not have diecast in it

Looks like their not even tweeking the mold, besides the light up eyes. This release really annoys me. I'm not a completist, but close with Voltron. I'd hate to support this release.

I have grown to like the mattel one more than my masterpiece. this one is an easy skip for me. i am still holding out for an SOC some day.

I find it odd that they're not confirming if the stand comes with the reissue or not. At 250 clams, it should at least have the stand.

$250 is way to much for this figure especially since its had how many versions made from this mold. The very least they could of done was re-design the face and paint it anime accurate since they had to work on it anyways for the LED gimmick.

Lets send them a complaint letter saying that if they will not change the face for good and maybe the size of the thighs to beef them up then we are not going to support this release! They should are about collectors opinions

The original Masterpiece version with the book and all was only $150. The first plastic version was only $50. I mean fifty freakin bucks... and here we are at $250!

$250 for real? Huge pass then. $150 would've been more realistic, even including the base. }D

yeah...as much as I like the stand, I'd much rather look for the Plastic MP Golion...
from what I've heard on CDX, this mold benefited from being plastic...

looks like it'll include the display stand with transformable keys......
I'll be debating whether to get it between now and its release........Don't like this mold but want a Golion to stand next to my MP Dairugger! I skipped this release over and over again when it was $100....$150....and then higher and higher.
Not confident that WEP will let someone else have the license to do a SOC style Golion...

Sadly I may buy this. I have all the other versions, and having 4 would add more symmetry to my Voltron display lol.
The price sucks, but having had to buy all of the other releases on the secondary market, it isn't that different than what I paid for the rest. I paid $250 for the diecast version in the book, $175 for the first plastic version and $180 for the metallic plastic version.

I'm thinking to buy one. but what's the deference between the old and this version? And should I wait a little longer for another release or what? Many thanks.
