I'd love to get a second one to display the lions, but I'm taking the chance to wait for a price drop, or some of the first version to pop up at a lower price (BST forums or eBay). I really don't care for the stand or the keys.

I'm thinking to buy one. but what's the deference between the old and this version? And should I wait a little longer for another release or what? Many thanks. Light-up eyes. Display base with light & sound gimmick. Transformable key that activates said light & sound gimmick on the base.

Baron, that is one of the best all plastic toys you can get. When you realize it is a PURE TOY you just cannot help but to love it. I have essentially "given it" to my daughter who worships the thing. I come home frequently to witnessing her "Form Blazing Sword!" For the price its worth it. Plus, one of the coolest packaging that you can get.

I suggest you guys search for retroblasting youtube channel and watch part 1 and part 2 of their visit to WEP. They talk about some stuff right up our alley. Especially in part 2. Even a "be all end all" as they said, Lion Force Voltro ...and Im not talking about the 30th anniv! looks like it'll include the display stand with transformable keys...... I'll be debating whether to get it between now and its release........Don't like this mold but want a Golion to stand next to my MP Dairugger! I skipped this release over and over again when it was $100....$150....and then higher and higher. Not confident that WEP will let someone else have the license to do a SOC style Golion...

Yes they do! I'm not getting this reissue, even if I like the LED eyes and base. I will not purchase another Lion Voltron/Golion until they make it look anime accurate. No more modern renditions of the old Popy toy for me... }D

Chachi, thanks. From WEP's answers, I feel like they don't understand the concept of 'Just Do It!' I wish they would just sell the franchise to someone who would be more aggressive in marketing and investing. I bet that ultimate voltron will never be made. Just more vaporware talk.

That won't happen. WEP will have to dissolve if they sell Voltron. I believe it's their only real worthwhile property.

I have been out of touch on this piece since the first toynami issue which I bought and subsequently sold off.
I hope this time the red and green lion's tails which from the joint/peg to fit into the black lion shoulders, is made or diecast.
The joint of the first issue was made of soft plastic which I felt was flimsy and prone to break, hence I sold it.
Hope they do a better joint and keep the diecast content. I will get it if that issue is addressed.

I watched the Retroblasting videos. I have to say, that as I listened to what they had to say, I really did not believe them. Especially in the Be All End All Lion Voltron. I will believe it when I see it. If they really wanted these things to happen they would make them happen. Enough said.

If they really wanted these things to happen they would make them happen. Enough said. Totally agree! And that applies to every license holder in the world... }D

I agree with AA. The Blazing Sword Voltron, is an awesome action figure. Plus, it is the only anime accurate action figure of Lion Voltron out there. ][snip][ }D The only complaints I have with the figure are that QC can get a bit...spotty and the pieces might not be centered...like my Blue Lion's head...and the only other complaint is that the figure cannot hold the sword with the hilt against the lion head. there is just NOT enough clearance for that to happen...oh, it's very much possible to HIDE that, but it still bothers me a bit...

I see a lot of talk about hidden lion legs on Voltron. Does the same apply to Daltanias?

If you're talking about the Black Lion's legs, then the Voltron does it better, I'm not too keen with how the legs are exposed with Daltanious )
