Oh wow! I was actually able to pick one up locally for about 21000 yen, so I think I lucked out. It's a great figure, although i'm tempted by the new Pose+ version that's on its way.

I'm going to try to pick up both, hope they're not released too close together. The Sentinel Genesic is coming too, but I think I'm still satisfied with my Max Gokin Genesic right now... |

It's not really a different robot, Genesic is more the perfected/ powered up version of Gaogaigar.   |

Can't wait for Genesic. The Max Factory version was my first gokin ever, and it unfortunately fell apart as there were a lot of issues with the first version. The SRC is quite nice but is a bit small.

Just got my pre-order in through CD Japan on the SOC GX-68 Reissue, can't wait to get him and the eventual Pose+ one.

Great figure! Sold my one - I think the turn off for me was the lack of detail in the face plate (I know, minor right?) which they could've panel lined it.
I'm looking forward to the Sentinel version - that looks really good!!! I assume is not transforming? - which I can live with.

I might be in the minority but I prefer the look of basic Gaogaigar over Genesic Gaogaigar.

I might be in the minority but I prefer the look of basic Gaogaigar over Genesic Gaogaigar. I like 'em both but for different reasons. GGG still fits with the general look of Braves and is fairly clean. Genesic is just so Extra and really tickles more of the over-the-top Super Robot aesthetic (and Final turns the dial past 11 with how ramps up the "screw the rules, I have courage" to the point of Getter Rays magic). In a sense, I kinda like them as separate robots rather than initial vs "THIS IS MY FINAL FORM" that you normally get in these toy commercials. |

I might be in the minority but I prefer the look of basic Gaogaigar over Genesic Gaogaigar. I mean, I think my favorite variation might be Gaofaigar because of the color scheme, but I think all the variations have a lot going for them. |

The option set (plus hammer) make for an awesome display, but unfortunately they also turn GGG into a brick. I enjoyed fiddling with the base toy enough that I bought a second GX-68 to play with.

Nice.. is good to see this releases. Is there any difference with the first option set they released? Only change I can spot is the gold chrome on the Star Gao rings. The original was just a regular semi-matte gold that matches the GX-68's. I just checked mine. |
