Strangely I don't love it. I liked the look of the unpainted prototype but something about this doesn't seem as appealing. I don't really dig any of the facesculpts; the regular "grimace" face is just okay while the others seem interesting but much like the faces that came with MT's inferno I could never see myself actually ever using them. The ab-crunch is impressive, and this looks like it'll easily be the most poseable and dynamic MP Megatron available, but looking at the pics... I dunno. It makes me think more like I'm looking at some close up shots of the Revoltech megatron rather than an MP Scaled and detailed figure. Perhaps it's the (likely hand-painted because it's an early prototype) sloppy paint and the solid black legs.

While the new faces and variety of expressions showed great effort, not all of them look spot on. And the lower leg needs some grey in the front. Really hope they swap in a dark grey plastic panel in the front if paint rubbing is an issue for the transformation. The paint finish is slightly less impressive, but that could be just the prototype. I hope MT make some small tweaks on this to perfect it. It really has a lot of potentials, and so close to be something really great.

Not sure why but the new painted prototype pictures made him look more squat and squish. The fully black leg panel is really throwing it off. Them new faces, I like the smirk and the screaming face but the neutral/regular face isn't as good as the early prototypes. Poop pose Always a nice way to promote any figure.

To be fair, it's a good display of his balance and stability, even if it's not super flattering I agree that grey shins would really help this. We'll see how the final product looks, I guess. In the meantime, the DX9 offering is looking much better than before.

The video seem to make MT Despotron a lot more boxy and broad than expected. And seems like the origami transformation I worried about is in fact the case (to an extend, since we don't have all the sequences). Would need to see more shots and reviews before making up my mind if this is truly the MP style Megatron for me. Was pretty sold on the pics. But the video seems otherwise...

It seems strange to me that the lineart seemed to hit all the right proportions, but when translated into a 3-D solid object, all those proportions turned out to be too boxy and chunky. I never imagined that I would say this about a Megatron figure, but the legs does seem to be a bit too thick. Maybe painting the front part of the shins a different color than black will reduce the issue? Proportion to the lineart seems to be generally correct. Note: on the picture below, the figure doesn't seem to be transformed correctly as the lower part of the chest which has the vertical bars is not properly extended. I really like how DX-9 use clever hinges, particularly to change the cross section shape of the arms from oblong to squarish and to thicken up the legs. Other than the general shape of the legs and the backpack, it's quite nice actually. Too bad Apollyon suffers from so many issues - I guess neither three are perfect, but on their own way, they're are still pretty good representation of MP Megatron.

I don't like the proportions too and overall, the paint is killing the sculpt, filling the sharpen corner, covering the edges of the mold. Primer painted versions have always the whaoo effect. Anime colors can save this one imo...

I LOVE this picture, I can imagine Megatron posing like this just before he blows Bumblebee's head off lol.

I love everything about MT's Megatron but the headsculpt. DX9's is sooooo much nicer.

Looks like some of the face plates don't sit correctly on some of the new photos. Some have silver gap between eyes and helmet making the helmet sit high or the chin is too long. Others without the gap looks more normal. They did corrected the chest transformation and flipped back up the shoulder 'spikes'. I am still on the fence, but I can't tell if I am just being too picky, since this is leaps ahead of what we had before, and still the overall strongest 3rd party specimen. Even looking at MP10, it is not a perfect proportioned Prime if one wants to nitpick. So I am not sure if I am asking for too much or have too high expectation for a proper MP scale Megatron.
DX9's Mightron is very nice too. It has a very accurate face (but a bit flat from side view), and love the transformation. But the bulky gun and the overall lacking aesthetic touches on the figure doesn't quite appeal to me as much as MT's. While the proportion is overall very good, everything is very straight & flat with almost no sculpted details, especially in group shots in the above video with other MPs. MT offered sculpted details in spade very well balanced on proportions and kibbles, but with an inferior head and overall chunkiness.
