So, what's the word on Kentucky Fried Chic...er, KFC...? I've casually followed their releases but from what I gather, heaps of QC issues...? Should we be excited here?

I prefer this Megatron from Bold Forms, it's less gappy in the legs and is a triple changer.

So I have seen both in person. They both look good, but both have flaws. The triple changer one is being photographed at more flattering angles. It suffers the same problem as the MP megatraon. The legs are too thin from the front. At angles you don't notice, but it hurts the figure. The other one, which I think looks better and seems to have loads of diecast. I feel the problem with it is the same as MP10. The leg proportions are too short for the figure. The design on the X-transbots version does seem to fit in better with the MP line.

That's true, the problem is choosing which one. These 3rd party stuff you need to get in fast or suffer paying huge secondary market prices. I'm gonna have to wait to see colored prototypes before choosing. I made this mistake with the 3rd Party Dinobots, I jumped the gun with FT only to find that I much prefer the Gigapower ones.

FWIW, you just said yourself the scalpers' market is pretty bullish for the seller...so, if you like Gigapower's versions of the Dinobots so much, sell your FansToys versions...? It's not impossible to change mid-way through.

I probably will end up selling my FT Scoria once/if I get one of these Gigapower figures in-hand. It's just the waiting that kills, FT has three already while Gigapower still even hasn't a PO.

Here is a pic I took that illustrates the leg problem.

I saw Devilstar at TFcon Chicago - I was rather surprised at how big it is. The train mode doesn't look super great in raw plastic, but I think if they can paint the white bits so they don't stand out it will look decent. It's kind of wild that two different 3rd parties announced MP sized Astrotrains basically on the same weekend. Toyworld has a leg-up because they've obviously got cut and finished tooling, vs: Toyworld's also looks a bit more "real world" while the DX9 has a bit more of a classics flavor in a lot of the aesthetics of the train and shuttle.

Great now I gotta get that Brawn lol. Also my girlfriend likes the X-Transbot version of Megatron better so I guess if I'm getting one it will be that one lmao.

Yep here is a detail of DX9 version : Also TF4 company is going wild on Astrotrain : This year is a total madness with 3rd P... X-Transbot Megatrob digibashed : And KFC MP New cassettes for their Blaster : I am 100 % in... Imo, I am on the fence to quit collecting everything except TF 3rd Party Toys... (should I sell my whole SOC collection hahahahahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa). Need to get richer !

I saw so much at TFcon and never saw the astrotrains. I don't know how I missed them.

I'm pretty sure the Toyworld Astrotrain isn't MP sized.

I'm pretty sure the Toyworld Astrotrain isn't MP sized. Well, I guess it would depend on what size you'd want an MP Astrotrain to be, but the toy is BIG from my memory of seeing it behind glass at TFCon. You're right though that he isn't explicitly being defined as Masterpiece scaled.
