It's been 4-5 years since I have bought any MP scale figures, though the recent release of Unicron and the Studio Series 86 kind of got my itch back. So I recently picked up the Magic Square MS-01W, after getting my hands on the MP-49 Black Convoy, sort of trying out the other Prime molds in MP scale. Like many, Prime has always been my favorite character, though Ultra Magnus is a very close second, especially with the fact that he is a white Prime wearing a cool armor. Back in the days, I was awestruck when Dreamwave depicted Ultra Magnus bursting out of its armor on the comic cover art and showcased him like that in the issue battling against Shockwave. Too bad when looking at my MP-22 Ultra Magnus in my cabinet, he can't really do that. Nor is there a MP style G1 Magnus figure I know of that can do that either. So I took some time this past weekend and made this piece, sort of fill that void in the meantime, until one day our MP G1 Ultra Magnus figure can actually do the same.

WOW, this picture is good ! A new 3p MP UM has surfaced recently. Let's see. Looking the nice shots from Kuma on DX9 Hanzo make me think this figure is really nice. I handled the proto in hand during a tfcon and I skipped it. Got FT version and Reformatted too. DX9 has a good level of detailing... Very poseable.

It seems like FansToys quietly has returned to the scene and over the last couple of weeks, reissued the Insecticons and now, their iterations of Huffer and Skullcruncher.
Interestingly, the latter 2 are plastastic...It would be unfortunate if they are stepping away from including metal in their toys going forward.

One of the primary reasons why I support them is their usage of die-cast in their products. I hope that remains true with their new product releases as it would be a real step back if they didn't.

FANSTOYS was quiet like any other brands : all costs changed due to the pandemic (shipping, plastic, etc...) They are reissuing because mold productions are costing too much actually, need to hold a bit productions. Same on Badcube, KFC, XTB and DX9, Planet X and other's sides.

Pretty quiet in here lately but with the BF sale at TFsource, I bit the bullet and bought Quietus (not Cyclonus) reissue.
FYI if you guys want to score this puppy on markdown. Other FansToys stuff is also marked down. I scored another Grenadier too.

I've more or less settled to buying the occasional FansToys (preordered their Hoist and Mirage recently from Robotoybase)...

Did anyone got the new Light of Peace Optimus Prime? My friend got it. He said no diecast so it's the lightest MP Prime in his collection. It's mostly unpainted so the finish seems dull by comparison to MP44, but the highlight of it is the articulation, which is the best among MP Primes.

Yes I've heard that the Light of Peace OP was indeed light in weight and bummer no die cast in the design. At least my beat up MP01 will answer those diecast cravings! LoL! I was looking between the TE OP and Light of Peace OP and someone pointed out that TE OP is much well built. But in terms on anime accuracy and articulation LOP OP is far more superior. MP44 just got sidelined because of the improvements of 3rd party Masterpiece Primes!
