Just got in. Love all the little moving parts. Although there is no diecast, I think it's still a a good toy. Having it would probably brought the price closer to $200 or even more. I'm ok with the trade off.

Hmmm, not really digging this new one. Granted, I never owned the OG, so the nostalgia is not there. But even so, this just looks too similar to every other modern mecha out there now.
As to the DiaBattles, what a fantastic figure! While typically I check out a figure for a few minutes and then shove it back in the box and into storage, this figure is still out on my dresser. It is so much fun to play with and just simply handle/manipulate. I've seen pics online of people who purchased multiple sets and combined them in crazy cool combos. Definitely highly recommended.

Myles, I'm not sure about the new one either. They're really nice, but I am borderline on the overall aesthetic.

The powered suits kinda give me a Starship Troopers vibe.

See, I really love these two new incarnations. I wonder if they will be imported into the US in good quantities.

I picked up the moon base version. Even though I wish the figure was a little bigger, it is pretty awesome. The mini figures are amazing for their size. The plastic quality reminds me of my sentinel gurren lagann. It wasn't a cheap figure, but its pretty inspiring. I think my only gripe about the design is the lack of skirts on the thighs.

I'd like to see a group shot with this guy versus classic bots/chogokin. Thanks in advance anyone.

Thanks for posting the update pics! It seems that thanks to the solid sales of the Diabattles release, they're going full steam making the rest of the line! Reports on the Powered Suit sets have been really positive. I need to catch up and at least get a DiaBattles set while available.
That BigPowered looks great. It's suitably chunky & blocky like the original. This brings good hope for the bigger base toys to come!

I just heard there will be knock offs of these. I don't know if they will be oversized or not so be careful with orders from China.
