I really don't love him. Not because of the crotch or waist, surprisingly, but the feet look too thin to me, and the chest sticks out like a sore thumb. It looks a bit like he's got an umpire's uniform on. It's disappointing in a way that I don't really love any of the available MP(ish) Ironhide's - they've all got things about them that put me off, sadly. I hope eventually MT or FT come along and make something that fitus my mental checklist of what I'm looking for (more specifically for a Ratchet more than an Ironhide, really).

I think it looks fine, not perfect though, I guess it depends if your a Masterpiece Collector or a "Masterpiece" collector. For me I'm totally fine if Takara changes direction with their line, it is their line to do what they want. So if stylistically it strays from my idea of a Masterpiece then that's ok and I'll accept it and buy it. But if I'm a "Masterpiece" collector then I have a image in my head and I'm less a Takara MP collector and more of a "Masterpiece"-like collector and I'll find a figure from whatever company that fits the mental image I have in my head. For me I'll pretty much buy any new Takara MP because I enjoy the ride Takara takes me on, it doesn't mean I won't buy 3rd party stuff because I do, but if given a choice I much rather a official product over a 3rd party because it's coming from the people who are steering the ship and not ones who are jumping aboard half-way through a trip.

By your definition I guess I'm a "Masterpiece" collector, then  . I have a shelf of carbots and I like how they all look together. For this fellow I just don't like the look of him, unfortunately. Fortunately, there's more stuff coming out than I can possibly buy so missing somethere here or there doesn't bother me I'll still keep an eye on this though. I've been known to flip-flop before and maybe the transformation will win me over. |

I like it though like most of the members noticed some things can still be improve but overall I can live owning it.
Anyhow, Isnt it Iron Hide supposed to be the 2nd in command? How come out of nowhere Hot Rod became Rodimus Prime in the anime?

I like the movie version better when it comes to Ironhide  maybe my attachments to G1 transformers is not that strong although I do pick up the odd MPs every now and then |

Rank means basically nothing when it comes to being worthy or not worthy of wielding the Matrix/becoming a Prime. Besides, the Matrix chooses the Autobot - hence why Hot Rod became Rodimus but had no effect when Ultra Magnus wielded it. |

Depends on what continuity you go by but Magnus wasn't around till season 3 after the movie and more or less acted like one of Primes Generals.
