Also I tried placing my mug on top to see if it can handle the weight and was able to properly stand.

Also it is gundamesque since the designer of this mech is Kunio Okawara who also designed the original gundam. Wow... I that's definitely new to me.

Also I tried placing my mug on top to see if it can handle the weight and was able to properly stand. That cup combination looks creepily attractive. Gives new meaning to "someone ran off with my drink!"

I'm tempted to just stop with the figure and just use the lower body as my mug stand lol. I'll call this mech combination the Votoms Up!

Pilot seat done! Damn I'm itching to get this model completed while dreading the prepping and painting hell to come along with it.

Lol, of course I do. It just seems fast since the whole model was already completed before I posted this thread. It will still take some time to get this done since I'll do some post processing on the model after everything is printed. The good thing with printing is I can do my job or work on the other parts of the model while im waiting for it. Also cockpit is done but the pipe design didn't come out right but I'll fix it instead of printing another one. Now all that's left are the head and arms along with the weapon system.

Fixed the cockpit issue and installed the bar risers where the head will attach to. I also forgot to print the pilot control stick but it can wait.

Amazing progress! The speed at which you're getting this done is truly remarkable. The head is the most important part of any robot character, and yours is coming along exceedingly well I must say. I do hope you're planning on using some sort of acrylic/glass for the scope lens; I believe it will look much more authentic than gloss paint.

I've been thinking of using some round gemstone for the eyes but I'll need to see if I can find some in the shop since I do work at a jewelry shop. Hopefully I finish the arms this week then move on to making the weapons. Here's a size comparison with an soc voltes v.

I just simplified the arm joints but to lessen the parts count and increase durability. I'm certain it can hold a pose holding a weapon since the elbows have clicky joints and the shoulders have spring loaded ball joints.

Both arms printed. Still working on the hands as I decided to do both sets of static and one with moving fingers.

The arm-peg (holding the shoulder to the torso) seems a little long. Maybe you could shorten that by a few millimeters? Or make the shoulder pauldron slightly larger to overlap the peg. Other than that, looking really good so far. I see you've managed to smoothen out and prime the body and head; nice! And it's amazing the speed at which you're doing quality work like this.

There's actually a round spacer in between the arms and the body that would hide the extra length of the peg. If it's still too long it's easy to just hack the extra length but I still need to print the spacers first. Right now im focusing on the hands and the gun. I'll probably use a peg to connect the gun to the hands since I'm sure the hands probably can't carry the weight of the weapon.

Printed the spacers as the hands will take time with the modelling.

Ah, definitely looks much better with those spacers now.
