Yeah, i also can't place the arms too near the body as it will limit the shoulder movement. I'm gonna start printing the hands to see if the design can be printed properly as all the digits move separately.

The hands with the movable fingers were a bust since I need the parts to be precise for it to work properly. I went ahead and printed the static closed fists and will redo the poseable hands. Still need to model the gun and the other parts but I'll model the gun first.

Love the proportions. And the rifle has really good detail.
It's commendable that you took the effort to make those hands yourself; lazy me would try to buy a pair from the hobby shop...

Well i tried to copy the gun from both the yamato and takara version since they have good pictures, I just hope I got the size right as i have no idea the length of the gun compared to the scopedog. It's not bad to be a little lazy, I actually call it smart since if there's already an available part that you don't need to waste time on making then it makes the project go faster. I actually tried looking for already modelled hands but they were basically the same ones as my failed version by design. They just won't work on a smaller scale and they probably wouldn't be able to hold the gun firmly. Now I just need to model the backpack and other weapons but I'll do it on another day as I have a job order to finish.

Almost primed. I really hate this part of the process.

Arm cannon printed but I needed to redo the left arm cause I needed the cannon to be attached with a peg. The cannon's magazine and the missiles inside the launcher are removable.

Looking really REALLY good! I like the subtle differences in the green you're using. You've really churned this beautiful bugger out pretty fast, which in itself is amazing! Guess what's left is mounting the weaponry. Go go go!
Btw, will you be doing some line paneling for this piece?

I'm still considering panel lining since the color is just too dark on most parts and the lines would probably not be noticeable. Still painting the weapons at the moment and hopefully I get everything done tonight. Also I haven't finished painting the cockpit yet as I need to make sure what color is used on the inside.

You should do the panel lines grey like the visor or cream like the torso.

The blue you've chosen for the weapons seems a bit distracting; I'm thinking maybe a deeper, more militarised kind of blue will be better? (off topic; did Tetsujin accidentally step on wet cement? )
