Are you kidding? Just look at the past 12-18 months or so. Look at how much of our long time wish lists were delivered? We haven't had it this good since the days when Popy was the semi independent sub company. We got Voltron! A whole line of anime perfect Mazingers! Not just the Megazord but the matching Dragonzord and Titanus. This is the sh*t of fever dreams. Our wish lists are growing ever more esoteric and specialized.
Voltron was released almost two years ago, the whole DC line is nice and awesome no doubt but does the market or any collection lack any of these SOC DC line characters ? we have more than enough of those
the Megazords are also super nice to have, but they weren't in my personal wish list
you know how many robots i scratched from my list since 2016 ? one just Voltron lol
my list kept growing and i tried to get other alternatives from other companies since Bandai keep doing those robot that im not interested in, thats why im not thrilled about new releases or the teasers Bandai is doing because i know they will do something meh for me lol
on the other hand their reissues and the renewals are much better we got the GX-24R, GX-48K and GX-60R
all i need now is Daimos either a reissue or a renewal would be awesome

thats a totally new topic
if a company is going to do something rare they better make it EPIC not awful or that would kill the character even more

if a company is going to do something rare they better make it EPIC not awful or that would kill the character even more

i will still hold my wish list, i need Zanda Cross man a fine example hehe.. no way Bandai would consider an Astroganger figure.. so i did not hesitate grabbing 5Pro's although i prefer HL pro's size and scale.. and its waay cheaper. |

I think that bandai is searching those things that sell or may sell well. They've been releasing figures of characters they have already done (DC line, FA, renewal versions), characters that are popular and some to attract younger collectors (voltron, PR line, Pacific rim). What they've not done is go for obscure characters, not a groizer x, albegas, bismark, gakeen, ect. So I've lost my hope when it comes to the obscure robots and bandai (I guess their business model doesn't work with those characters). May be they need to sell a number of units to be profitable and they know is impossible with those obscure robots.

Bandai has consider some weird things as SOCs
Teasing God Mazinger D.C. SOC Tryder?
Daitarn to me is obscure..kind of..well it's not Getter or Mazinger haha.
....And Disney Car of all things...and its Blue variation..
So dont lose hope guys!

Bandai has consider some weird things as SOCs Teasing God Mazinger D.C. SOC Tryder? Daitarn to me is obscure..kind of..well it's not Getter or Mazinger haha. ....And Disney Car of all things...and its Blue variation.. So dont lose hope guys! Bandai will do anything with the name mazinger on it... they are running out of repaints and anniversaries. Seriously anything related to mazinger have a boost. Anyway I was talking about the last 3 years or so. They don't seem to try with old obscure stuff anymore. |

So a rerelease of voltron for 2019 dairugger for 2019 and if Bandai is listening which they are, i do believe it is time for the DX Tetsujin 28. It seens like once a company comes out with a decent knock off that bandai gets the competition bug and cones and knocks it out of the park lately. I wonder if there will be changes to the voltron. I can only pray for all chrome joins and tails on the red and green as well as functioning weapons with red and yellows missles and a popy style display box or maybe a golion. Respect for voltrom respect for golion and dont get me started on dairugger. Will he be as big as the original or more like the miracle productions. Ok gonna be a great year

according to an old interview the next DX is Grendizer, i also think its very early of a DX T28 since the market is getting full of T28 suddenly
also its very early for an R version, since the regular GX-71 is still on high demand, maybe a reissue and maybe dairugger (if true)

Ok gonna be a great year I hope it's the same size as GX-71(Golion is actually a little taller then Dairugger(197 to 195 meters). Miracle version is still a great figure but it'll be good to get something official. Would love to see gx-71 get maybe a special edition(2 actually) with godaikin/popy colors or one in the white anime colors kinda like how the gx-70sp mazinger is. |

For those that missed it, there also appears to be a GX-40R recolor re-release in the works. It is a God Mars DX toy/Godaiken color version, with some extra weapons for the component bots. There are pics over on tfw2005 from user Mechafanboy  Also apparently a SOC Full Action (non transforming) Ideon. |
