What a super deadly stoner sunshine, man! It's as deadly as it is a "high" stoner sunshine.

Just finished my new axe. I think it fits better than the original one. Big thanks to Ulessa for helping me out. The scythe will be next but later in the year. I have other proyects that I need to finish first. Again, big thanks to Ulessa for both the axe and scythe! That is a massive axe!!!! Very cool.

Mine showed up today finally after waiting an eternity. The POS fell in half right out of the box. working in an exchange but seeing how utterly asinine the design is and impossible to reattach the ball joint, I'm thinking about just getting a refund. Between this, 3 broken new purchases and the VF-31A fiasco with Nippon Yasan, I am taking a long break from collecting.

This is just insane....a member of a Chogokin Facebook group I’m on had the same thing happen but WORSE. His $300 figure showed up broken in half and one of the feet fell off. I’ve never had any issues w Bandai and the issues I had w my Icarus Voltron were resolved through impeccable customer service. Sentinel needs to get their sh*t together or I’m just gonna ignore their releases.

It'd have been nice if someone who had done it would have posted up a tutorial but at the same time I understand just wanting to get stuff fixed and going when it happens.

Ive handled 4 of them and 2 came with defects, one was the belly plate scuff and the other one had one of the forearm spikes cracked. The other 2 were fine, one that I kept and the other one I sold. Sentinel seems to have rushed this one out.

I diD get it reattached once, and it popped off a minute later. Entertainment Earth said they'd inspect one and send it, same thing, they took it out of the box and it fell in half. they are contacting Sentinel. With my floppy armed getter one from them, I am going to have to ask for a refund. nice design, sh*t execution. This is not worth $300.

Between this, 3 broken new purchases and the VF-31A fiasco with Nippon Yasan, I am taking a long break from collecting. Don't get frustrated yet. Its very easy to reattached. Its not broken, just the ball joint popped off. The trick is to pull off (remove) the black plastic attachment piece from the upper torso and attach it to the hip (shape like a small metal pen*s) at that tricky 90 degree first (which prevent the torso to snap straight down). Then the top torso can go straight down like normal ball joints would and BAAMM! Fixed. Took my buddy a min to fix it, after knowing what to do. No worries. Give it a try! Found a pic. Remove that black ball joint connector with the half cup from the red upper torso, insert it into the "metal pen*s" inside the hip at that 90 degree (may need some help with a wrapped screwdriver to help push it in sideways. Now you have clearance to pop the red upper torso straight down!

question to fellow collectors who has this Gokin. what is the weight of it ? which feels better in hand this or the Riobot mazinkaiser ? Mazinkaiser is a bit heavier, not by a lot, but a little, due to the diecast lower legs, when Shin's are plastic (but Shin has metal thighs instead, but smaller...some additional metal joint parts too that Kaiser doesn't have). Kaiser has a looser waist, can barely support itself with the big wings without using the stand. Shin is overall sturdier and joints tighter. Wings are not heavy. But Shin's robot design with the long ears, big shoulders, arm blades, and wings tend to get in the way when posing, making it while sturdier with tighter joints, a bit more fiddly to pose. Also, Shin's elbow has a double swivel that you tend to need to align it properly often to get the pose right. Kaiser's is more straight forward elbow like any other toy. And Shin loses the awesome wrist ball joint Kaiser has, in exchange of a straight peg that only swivels. They both fall into the lighter weight gokin category, with Kaiser weighing a bit more. But they make it up with engineering and sculpt. And I think Shin actually edges out Kaiser when it comes to that. Shin pretty much nailed the whole sculpt, and its head is the best Shin Getter 1 toy ever have. Kaiser has nicer wings though.

Many thanks, I actually fixed it using a different method. Wish I took pics. I used a paperclip bent into a long U shape. wrapped it around the ball joint with the two ends sticking out the front of his chest. Pulled on it with Robo grip pliers and it popped in like butter. Then popped out as soon as I posed him. Turns out the real issue is the metal joint in the middle torso was locked solid and won't tilt up or down. the balljoint gave first. i've loosened it up and seems to hold together fine now. I will probably exchange it because of my OCD and wrestling the damn thing. I put too much physical force into it trying to get it together. nothing happened to it, but damn, I squeeeeeeeezed that mofo good in frustration. Definitely need to take a collecting break, my frustration is far outweighing my joy of collecting right now. It is nutty how many high end items ($300+) I have been having issues with, if they even show up. Gonna purge a giant chunk of the tramsformers collection to pay my wife's medical bills and re-evaluate collection priorities. Until Fewture makes Shin getter 2........
