Seriously cool design, and the best looking iteration of Shin Getter to date. Those barrel like legs are perfect, and the huge shoulders have never looked better.

Tbh after seeing this guy the Riobot Kaiser now looks horrible to me. The weapons though are by far the weakest thing about it. What on earth happened to the scythe???

I'm glad Sentinel didn't paint this in a metallic red like their ironmen or baikanfu, since the paint on those have questionable longevity because the top red paint over the sliver reveals an odd cracked pattern that could fade over time.

I was going to pair it with the Mazinaiser, but this one's just too tall. An easy pass for me. The figure looks absolutely beautiful though. Undoubtly, the best Shin Getter yet, and is much more anime accurate than the Kaiser. I snagged mine last night! Joy! I would have been happy if they were the same height, but I'm especially pleased that Shin Getter is even bigger than the Kaiser. Isn't that how it should be? I looked up the official heights once, and it Shin Getter should be the larger of the two. Have they ever been together in the manga or anime that I missed? |

I got my pre-order it at 2:30am last night. Really happy it wasn't difficult to get one and less than $300. Plus we don't have to wait 6 months or more until release!
I think Sentinel based the Shin Getter's height on the black Getter, I believe in Getter Robo Armageddon Shin Getter was much taller than that original ones. I wonder if we can expect an SOC Shin Getter down the line?

This is amazing. I just preordered one and it will be my 3rd Getter figure from Sentinel.
I am hoping that with the recent release of SOC Mazinkaiser, that Bandai will come to their senses and finally release an SOC (anime accurate) Shin Getter Robo. For now this looks like the next best thing and far better looking than the SRC Shin Getter. I just wish he wasn't so expensive.

Honestly, I don’t need Bandai to make a Shin Getter anymore. This will be my main Shin Getter. The Aoshima serves well as an anime acurate Shin and scales well with the SOC’s.
Suddenly I want Sentinel to do all my super robot toys. God... a Sentinel Jeeg and Gaiking.... mind blown!
Sentinel, please make a Shin Getter 2 and 3. I will pay any amount of money for a Shin Getter 3!

AE has the lowest price but need to pay upfront. So I think the best place to pre-order is cdjapan, since the shipping is only 1840 yen. Cdjapan just places a temp charge on credit card, so it is not upfront payment.

Preordered mine from AE this morning,came out to $266.01 with Capital One's exchange rate. That is much cheaper than what i paid for my Kaiser. Im super excited for this one, even if Bandai makes an SOC it will never match the articulation of the Riobot.

I'm a Mazinger collector and I usually don't buy Getter toys (it's already hard enough to keep up with the Mazingers, and the problem with Getter is well.. Getter 1.2.3) I was going to buy this Shin Getter sorely to pair with the Mazinkaiser as you know the Sentinel kinda don't blend in with other typical Mazinger toys due to its heavily modernized design and yes, Getters supposed to be bigger on paper, but in practice, they're around the same height in all of the anime/manga from old to new, which makes this Shin Getter looks to be in different scale than the Kaiser. BTW, there's a short manga called 'Mazinkaiser vs Shin Getter Robo' from late 90s.  Is this manga part of the getter robo series or a multiverse? |
