after watching Charles review im so glad i didn't get it, the figure is just ugly in opinion
emperor Eagle ? its more like emperor crab, emperor Jaguar more like emperor beetle, and i dont have words to describe what they call an emperor bear, the over all design is just lazy, reminds me of the Mazin emperor g, so what now ? the word emperor in a robot name should mean lazy design ?
also Bandai new business strategy
sell less for more, meaning less die cast, less accessories, less advance engineering for more money,
what happened to the good old days ? when the combiners came loaded with diecast and accessories with cutting edge engineering ?

Hi everyone, here’s my video review for Getter Emperor. He making it seem so ... what's the word I'm looking for?... the opposite of easy? Yeah my enthusiasm is waning. This looks like a spending all day to get it into robot mode, and never ever attempt to transform it again!

He is getting panned by my Korean blog reviwer....
One of the poster also claims that some other reviewers are not exactly endorsing him either.
So if you're on the fence I'd wait. It might get a discount.

going to be brutally honest
i will need more than a discount to buy this, im talked about less than the half of the original price then i might think about it
its just not an A class figure for me

I'm gonna be honest. I love the fact that the finally made a getter combiner, it just they choose a getter I'm not interested in (and that is out of scale with the rest of my figures). They could have gone the safe route and done a regular figure, with some more die cast, but they choose to innovate. I appreciate that and I would change my regular getter 1 for a combiner getter 1 like this one for sure...

They finally made a Getter Combiner... but the individual component ships are color coded trash heaps. All Kibble, no lines or style. No sleakness to them. There is nothing about them that you might be desired to "swoosh". (Swooshability is a key metric in spaceship design and marketing.)

I agree.... I don’t pick up getters just like that.... I like the original design of some getters but this one is rare and “unknown”? Just my thoughts as would not but this thing not even in a sale price it’s all plastic and odd looking in general. Rare opportunity misses by Bandai. That’s just my opinion. Its just me some people will love this and others wont.

I've searched some pictures from the manga and the ships are pretty close to what they did. In my opinion the problem is that is a very obscure and weird looking character. It's a pity because I'd love to see them do this with getter go or getter dragon.

I, on the other hand, appreciate this release and glad to add it to my collection. An acquired taste for sure, and the smaller size is not quite as expected. But it is faithful to the original design (love those ship form), and it is an important character in the Getter mythos (like Unicron in Transformers, the biggest baddest form of Getter evolution there is). I think one thing that throws people off is the combined color scheme. Since it doesn't have the anime magic to color Emperor all red, the yellow and blue looks out of place, and an issue they can't get away from from being a combiner without swap-out parts. I just got it from the mail. Hopefully the figure doesn't disappoint when held in hand.

Yeah you're right, the fact It being a Getter combiner AND still being faithful to the source IS a "HUGE" plus for this figure. Maybe this a engineering stepping stone for "the mainstream" Getter combiner!!
Another plus is Bandai delving into a obscure character.
Cons im hearing is the size, lack of diecast, poseability, and combining parts lack firm and secure lock tab?
Some are mentioning that the face just looks gruesome, grotesque, and plain ugly. Teehee poor Emperor.
But I'll TRY to convince myself that the lack of diecast that MAYBE due to a complex transformation and a combination engineering.

Lack of diecast means they are getting cheap and that less is more... less quality materials and more $$$. Time will tell but hopefully they stay faithfull to the “chogokin” meaning...

of course this figure existence is nice but i think they could do much better than this
old combiners had ton of diecast, ton of accessories, and they were much more complicated to pull yet they did it
they are getting cheap yes, and they are pushing alot of stuff that they start to have ton of QC issues which is sad thing to say
SOC line was mostly QC free now its not the same
