Looks like I missed it again. Bluefin took down their landing page for it completely. I was lucky to score the figure but looks like funnels will be harder to get. Even on eBay their all from Japan for $600+. If you all see something, hook a brother up. Thanks.

I got my Fin Funnel set from Bluefin today. The Funnels are HUGE. I forgot they are almost as tall as the Nu Gundam itself when fully extended.
Few tips:
1) I recommend putting the funnels on the rack before attaching it to the back pack. It takes a little careful handling to get them on there correctly. 2) Talking about careful, when you are pulling out the funnel latches, I recommend you pull up the "cover" like if it's in full deploy mode. Makes it a lot easier to wiggle the latch out. 3) I pulled the backpack off the figure when I attached the rack to the backpack. It took me more then a trivial amount of force/wiggling to get it to latch in. The metal piece should be flush with the edge of the backpack. Once it's in it barely moves. If it's wiggling around, it's not it. And it'll pretty much eject itself after a bit. Ask me how I know this.
Other then that, it looks great. I am a huge fan of the Nu Gundam and this figure really is amazing. I do wish there are some more articulation in the figure, and honestly the funnels should have came with the figure but I doubt we'll see one much better then this anytime soon.
I really hope they don't make a Sazabi to go with this, I'll need another room in my condo to put it in.

I really hope they don't make a Sazabi to go with this, I'll need another room in my condo to put it in. Lol I'm actually hoping they make a Sazabi. I find this figure the equivalent of the DX SOC line for Gundam. Let me explain. The DX SOC Mazingers (Z & Great) were mostly intended as display pieces and not action figures. The main focus was showing off internal stucture and details in a hangar style display. Metal Structure nu Gundam feels designed with same objective- as a display piece and not as action figure. So they focus on many small details, paint, opening panels, etc, and not so much on striking dynamic poses. More articulation would have been cool for sure, but considering the size and fragility of this figure if it were to fall, I don't even want to try posing it too aggressively. For fans of Char's Counterattack, this is a must have piece of toy art.

I got my fins in, these are massive, I am kind of scared to put this on the figure in case it falls

Wow. Thanks for the heads up. Need to think about this one. Got to say the eyes and forehead camera wrap is genius. Overpriced for sure, but it does add to the set...hmmmmmm.

It is a bit ridiculous to pay $200 for those instead of getting a Metal Build or SOC. But Bandai really know how to get you if you already own the Nu. Next thing you know, they may have the HWS armor for it and asking for another $1000.

exactly but hey since they are giving a high quality product and the fans loves it why not
but i hope they know that most of the fans are getting older and they have tons and tons of responsibilities not every one could afford the asking price

Well I completely missed the news on this; not like they gave much notice. Sold out everywhere I could see except BBTS. Annoying . . .

That's a pretty cool if pricey add-on, didn't know the arms could be removed on the figure.

Heh. Was playing Captain Tsubasa on PS4 and forgot about checking during midnight. By the time I looked, it was 40 mins late and sold out. But honestly, I was on the fence the whole time because within the set, there are only a few small things I really care for. The Eyes & Camera Wrap, and the yellow robot Bright & Hathaway piloted, and the clamp + wiring on the detached arm. The rest are either nice to have or something just gonna stay in the box. But when those little things gonna cost me $200, even the completist in me is shaking the head (worth more like $50-60). Made the already very overpriced Fin Funnel Set a really good deal (which I got..2 in fact). In the end, missing out didn't make me feel bad. So....HWS next?

I was on the fence, but just thinking about it... What if the rifle of the HWS set needs the front part that's in here? Then Bandai's gotcha. (just kidding) I decided to PO it and if I don't really want it sell it later. How much would HWS set cost anyway? I'd guess another 6-800 at this rate.

I compared it to the one from HWS, but they are not really the same, just similar. And it looks very bulky. The plain rifle looks a lot better. If my opinion on the rifle barrel is very different, it might have swayed me to PO.

I cave in as well and pre ordered since the price at Okiland was only for 220 USD. Crazy that A-E had it for 35K and still sold out. I'm avoiding NY now - still hasn't ship my transformer BTW, I heard anything good about Okini land - can someone please share their experience with them? Thanks
