I like toys more than statues but I’m ok with limited articulation. This does seem to have that. Barring yet a new line I don’t see anything that could top the detail on this thing. I went ahead and PO’d from BBTS so no turning back now. This has always been my favorite Gundam along with MSA0011 EX-S. In terms of articulation, I don't know if people here have the Metal Composite Psycho Guudam and Mk-II. Both have limited articulations. But at least you can swing their arms. I would expect at least that degree of articulation to be considered an action figure. I hope to be wrong, but I am not sure the Nu Gundam even has that. Anyway, I am very happy for anyone who are getting it. I am just sharing my 2 cents. Please feel free to ignore me if you don't like my opinion. Cheers.

The Formania busts - I kept saying how cool would it be if they made a full figure with that level of detail. And I always thought it would cost $1K based off the pricing of the Formania busts (though it appears the quality of this is higher than the busts). That all said, I'm pretty sure I'm right about the target market for this thing. It has photo-etched parts. If you ever built a model kit with photo-etched parts, I think you'd realize they are too delicate for rough handling.

Some pics seem to suggest it is capable of holding and aiming its rifle. I doubt it is anyway near the level of a Metal Build. More likely, the articulation is closer to the original Gundam Fix Figuration figures (not the metal composite).

I only have the Metal Composites (Psycho, Banshee, Origin) and Metal Builds. I mean, I certainly don't expect double-jointed elbows and extendable shoulders in the newer figures. But I require at least the degree of articulation in a Metal Composite Phycho Gundam, which is actually quite limited, to be considered an action figure.

Pics show the knees bending as well as the arms raised, bent, and holding the guns and shield. I just wouldn't expect more beyond that. Also, I'm not sure I would want to mess with it in Metal Build-like poses. I would be worried about scratching the paint.

I had the original Formania at one point and it was a thing of beauty. Limited mobility but it still had a toy quality to it. I also wished for a full body version of it and here it is I think. And RX-93 to boot!

The re-releases of the previous Formania just improved the paint, some small parts, and added lights. The RX-78GP01 was designed with latest tech and is pretty impressive.

That thing is beautiful.

I had the originals, sold them, then regretted it years later when I wanted something more detailed. Ended up buying the new ones. I think they are great, but at the same time, always wished they were full figures.

I think it might be. The last time I checked them out (years ago), you couldn't order anything unless you were a retailer with an account. It may be new since Bandai took over Bluefin - which is a very good thing based off what was being said about them in the past. I'm not going to get into the rumors, but look reviews up on Glassdoor if you want more info.

Do we know how much the funnels are gonna cost? Because I’m down to just one kidney.

No clue. I haven't heard a thing. I'm hoping they are available through some international distributors. Sometimes BBTS gets P-Bandai stuff but it usually costs a lot more. It's annoying though - why have a worldwide release and then have such a major part only available through their web shop?

Well if I need to, I can get my girlfriend to have it sent to her parents' place in Hokkaido. I prefer to pick it up from a local retailer if possible since some of these things can get quite large and I don't like to impose.

Sometime Bluefin do carry over some p-bandai items to the USA so it's possible you will see it here too since they already have the main unit.

Bbts sold out! With funnels and unknown shipping costs this is probably going to be in $1100-$1200 total range if you want complete set. I know Grendizer is coming along eventually I’ll just get that instead.

Yeah. Something tells me they will be $250-300 which everyone who bought the figure will have to get because like someone here said, this is not an optional weapon. It’s part of the darn robot.
