Guys, while preping to shoot a YT video on sanding mod,
i just found out what the real problem with my Guiking's Cross Star falling off the "damaged leg armors" when attatching...
The sanding cross Star peg mod would work on damaged lower leg Armors..no mods are needed for any cross stars on displaying with "normal undamaged" lower leg armors."
So You dont need to sand pegs for "the normal undamaged leg Armor" nor magnet mod BECAUSE
The majority issue was the "PEG HOLE" on "the damaged leg armor" being TOO BIG...horizontally.
A. So IF youre displaying with just "normal clean undamaged leg armors," you dont need ANY mods...everything will be fine (on my copy anyway.) NO mods on "clean new" display..
B.But If you're displaying "damaged mode" and or even normal , then ALL you need is sand cross Stars' pegs..(no one really "NEEDS" magnet mod TBH...but its cool as hell hahaha)
Seems like King Art really messed up the measurement on "the damaged lower leg armor" holes that accommodate Cross Stars.
Sorry about the confusion, and so consequently i took down my last YT video as it can be bit misleading...

Hi. I wanted to add my two cents on this figure. Initially I decided to pass on it even though Gaiking is one of my top three super robots. But after reading some reviews and watching some videos I decided to jump on it especially knowing Jeeg is coming (another of my top three - the other is Mazinger). I have to say I’m impressed with this figure and what King Arts set out to do is commendable. There’s so much detail, creativity, and play value! Yes, the figure doesn’t “feel” like a SOC despite the heft but after handling the figure for a few minutes (or hours) you appreciate the build and engineering of the figure. The number of optional parts is mind-blowing and I do agree that some gimmicks are probably over-engineered, for example I don’t need a double-jointed neck, or damaged pieces for the back of the shoulders.
For what it’s worth, the box is beautiful however the instructions are pathetic, lazy, and unhelpful.
I’m very glad I got this piece. It’s visually stunning and like the Mazinger DX I’ll pose it and forget about it.

I'm eager to see what the other version of KA
Gaiking is going to be.
Cheaper stand alone "severly damaged inner frame (with led and magnet gimmick) " would be most welcome...

I'm most hoping for Gaiking the Great. Maybe KA will make Raiking and Bulking to form an EPIC three figure combining set! (Battle damaged armor please). Or a stand alone GtG. Either way, that's what I want....

Hey guys, i uploaded a video regarding the Cross Stars falling off the damaged leg armor...again.
I deleted the original video m because i discovered two unmentioned QC issue of it.
Namely the thickness of the armor and the size of the peg hole...
It feels not unlike dejavu, unending 2020 even...i keep talking about it. But i hope this is the end of the topic. Hope it helps better understand the issue.
(Well but there IS the demo video i keep yapping about...this will NEVER end haha)

Haha~ Im back with Gaiking again. My "project" figure! It just won't end and i'm sorry for that!
Anyway, here is my how to video on sanding Cross Stars so they wont READILY fall off from "damaged lower leg armor."

I think it looks fantastic and I guess they fixed some of the issues with the original which I have and like a lot despite the QA issues. I think they also removed the light-up feature?? Anyway, I think it is a great piece with a lot of shelf-appeal.

So it looks like this version doesn't have the removable armor gimmick and light-up feature but is still over $300, how much was the original with more features?

I "THINK" I paid 399 USD MSRP on the original.
a BEAUTIFUL figure.
Hope they fixed the wing attatchment and star sword(?) Attatchment issue on this release.
(They fall off when you casually handle the figure. Displays fine tho)
