Hey Greengetterguy!! He looks awesome.
Are there ratchet joints all over? Is the head good with those giant horns? I mean they don't make it loose or not stay in position once you pose it right?

Hi Bigfire!
Head joint is PERFECT!! Ratchet on metal elbows and metal knees.
Edit: 8/11 4:22 PM PST. His ratchets are solid!! Much more robust then junky SOC. D.C. i can see them lasting for years if not longer. True "toy quality." (D.C.s' lasted seconds...yes i said "SECONDS")
And I Just tested his ankle joints and its GGG approved... The peg is SOLID, it feels like its made of very robust plastic that's fitted into sloted cup (made of POM or nylon perhaps). I "tested" it and it will not loosen....
Despite its NUMEROUS cons, im impressed enough to get an exchange INSTEAD of refund from awesome BBTS. I tell you , i wrestled with the decision for DAYS and the conclusion is, this figure is NOT to be missed...
Having said that, KA really needs to address these cons.
Because This Guiking EASILY could have been GOAT or at least TOTY 2020 if not for couple of those cons..at least in my book.
Truely a STUNNING looking figure. photos will not do justice.... It's magic when its infront of you (well with his damaged mode on.)
He WILL take your heart.

I dedicate this review to my friend Bigfire ...KA Guiking.... Hey guys I finally had some time with this Guy. First, If you're Gaiking fan or a modder who likes to tinker, this bud's for you. Also he makes an really awesome display AND has a limitless play due to ALL the armor pieces!! But based on what i got, IF you are a normal civilian collector like me, you MIGHT want to wait on second production run or even another version as KA did hint by its subtitle on this product as, "Original Version" due to his "immensity," he will be my first "two part review" Another first is, Normally, as a goodwill jesture and just to be polite, i start with what's good about a figure first. But im gonna start with cons with this guy... Thanks greengetterguy! This figure seems great, but I personally still like GX-27 better. It's more anime accurate and just looking at it takes me back to my childhood memories.

Guys, this figure has neverending things to figure out...a true "project" figure.
To change out the skull teeth to damaged ones...you DON'T replace them.
But you "cap" the damaged ones on top of the normal ones....
But even as i pretend to know it all on this figure..i have a question for those who have one now.
How the hell did you put the damaged head/neck? I mean, i think i can take the normal one out...
but how the hell do you put back another head/neck?
(I am too scared to break "the spring loader" in his "dragon head" chest.)

This is how you switch the head out. Nothing is fragile, but I disassemble to get a firm grip.
I still have this guy out. It's not perfect but I swear to you all I've never had such fun with a figure. I've gotten Mazinger Z since. It's cool, but gaiking's massive heft adds so much. And it does have a premium feel overall. Where Mazinger's armor is shiny plastic, Gaiking's matte finish just looks richer. Still enjoying this figure....

Thank you Cole for going the extra mile!!
Yeah,at over 1.75 lb, he's a big bad toy. He's not perfect, but if looks can kill, he is a perfect hunter! I have mine out on the coffee table too. Exception of SOC Voltrons, He will make any SOC look like mere "toys" standing next to him..
But Damaged cross stars and damaged left lower jaw armor does fall off at the light touch.
.....However since this figure can be readily disassembled, moding is really accessible.
With right sized magnets, small drills, and epoxy, lot of "fun" can be had (and at same time one can fix KA's tolerance mistakes haha)

Yeah, these are cool figures. But they have some issues. I added some clear nail polish to Mazinger Z's thigh armor. But it took one minute and now he's perfect. And I love the damaged look - it's hot. I'm watching the new Transformers series on Netflix and they're all animated in this style lol. So, I've got Grendie and Great on the way - I'll have a battle damaged army and I'm getting most of these on the cheap! I paid $160 shipped for Great from a friend. I'm a fan....

My Gaiking knee magnet mod!
My first ever YouTube video i can't believe it! Thank you ColeTron for egging me on! It was a super fun project! Cost me around $20 for the tools and parts ( epoxy, tweezer, magnets, mini drill holder ect ect...) not including labor of course haha.
The actual part cost is Less then $2!

I'm heart broken! Every time I touch my Gaiking, something falls off him. This time, it looks like the very top piece on his head must have popped off and I can't find it anywhere! Has anyone had any luck getting replacement parts from King Arts? PS: Just to be sure it was ever actually there, can you tell me where it was located in the parts trays? Thanks!

Aw man im so sorry to hear that....
The "headpiece" was on the figure itself. So it didnt have a separate space on the tray...
The star cross falls off all the time but if you sand the end of its peg. They will stay on MUCH better...
I am going to put up a HD YouTube about it pretty soon. I can post it when it goes alive.

Sorry to see that and good luck finding the piece. I'm not sure how King Arts is with replacement. But might I suggest switching to battle damaged mode? It looks way cooler imo, and you've got another head that is (hopefully) complete. I put on the battle damaged armor and never looked back....

Maybe my rambling video can help a little with falling parts issue... GGG great video! But it seems that if I would simply sand down the peg with a rounded War Hammer file I've got, I would get a good result... even without magnets. Yes?

Yes that all ypu need to keep Cross Star from falling off. i used 800 grit wet sandpaper! Go slow..make sure you dont sand too much off. The magnet is just an insurance but it just feels amazing AND add even MORE "adhesion" for Cross Star to the leg. But you def dont NEED it... Please wear mask, i dont want plastic dust in your lungs...
