I too am looking forward to 5PRO's Shin Getter. To make a gokin that looks the most authentic and anime accurate, it would probably be them.

As you can see from my avatar, I am a big Shin Getter fan. Today I got my MB Shin Getter and when I opened the box and pulled out the tray… my first impression? 10 out of 10! As soon as I pulled the figure out of the tray, my impression went down to 1 out of 10. When people said this figure had joint issues, they were being modest. It took me a full 2 minutes just to get it to stand on a standard A pose. If you hold the torso and wiggle it, the legs shake like spaghetti noodles. My advice, even before I go any further and unbox the rest or play with this thing a bit more… either skip it, wait for it to drop to $100 or less or buy it now if you are trying to train your patience level or if you are too relaxed or your blood pressure is too low and you want a drug free method to raise it. Nothing else to say about this figure 🥷🏼

and thank you for sharing, i swear i just came to this thread to ask is it really this awful, reading your feedback i think its legit awful
how come this product is from Bandai ? didnt they test it to see how strong the joints and other stuff ?
i guess this failure will make it harder for the black version and the SOC Shin Getter 1

Did anyone get their MB getter from Japan and still had the loose joint issue? I posted a whole ago, but I got mine from Amiami and was concerned for the worst, but joints on my copy have been good. It's been standing with other MBs on the table with no stand just fine so far. I didn't display it with the Tomahawk since I dont have room for it.

Seeing Sentinel reissued Dancouga and Mazinkaiser with improved diecast joints, I actual would like them revisit their Shin Getter 1 someday. Add diecast durability and tightness on all major joints, redesign the mid torso joint so no more popping off (though honestly caused by people not reading the manual, as people twist it like a swivel or regular ball joint, which the manual tell them not to...), and fully painted this time. Wings could be redesigned, look quite flat and outdated. Quite curious if they will make such move, especially after the release of Shin Getter Dragon that the two matches so well side by side, and give this MB Shin a run for its money.

Nice review. Reviewer loves the design, but you can't help but notice how many times the figure had lost balance and fell throughout the filming. The worse part that he highlighted that most others didn't, is the attachment of the display stand on Shin's butt is also not that secure. The double round tab are kind of short, and his figure fell off the display stand while tinkering with it...man...now I am not even sure I want to buy this if heavily discounted. Such a shame. Seems like a lot of great ideas went in, but the toy engineering failed on so many basic stuff. Can't even make the butt tabs a bit longer? Really? Sigh...

Wonder if Japanese version release doesn't have the issue cited as many reviewers are from HK and other Southeast Asia countries... Mostly a myth at this point in how things are run today. Not particularly to this MB Shin, but overall import figures in general. Heard enough first hand comments, even HK shop owners from podcasts that also collect themselves and talk to customers a lot. Japan stock and HK stock makes zero difference, because a good number of HK shops also get stock from both ship directly from Japan (get stuff faster, but shop pays higher cost) and stock from official HK distribution channel. The overall quality, QC, and amount of complaints from customers make no difference when they sell both. And speaking from personal experience (remember I am one of those cursed ones on RJ, if not the most cursed), most of my toys that came broken or need fixes almost exclusively shipped directly from Japan LOL, since I buy from Japanese shops 80-90% of the time.

to be honest with you, i wont take that moron review as a legit source, he always gives negative reviews about anything that isnt 5pro
remember when he said that CCS did a minor character (Great Mazinkiaser)
or when he claimed the 5pro voltron is better balance than the SOC a year before it was released
or when he compared the GX-31 (a 15 years old) to the 5pro voltron to show awful Bandai are to 5pro
on top of that he call him self wiki , wiki my a$$

I think the owner tried to bend the arms more than what the toy can handle... Sadly the articulation of this guy is very poor. He can only do standing poses without the stand. Dynamic poses while both feet are on the grlund? He cannot do it. He can do aerial poses with the stand but it is not stable enough. I also popped his feet off while playing and a metal piece came off with it. Not sure what that is for but innitially it is not loose and attached to the ankle joint somehow. Now it moves whenever I adjust his feet. I don't know but it seems that it somehow increased his ankle aticulation a bit but, the moving metal part is kind of annoying.
