Questions:
1. So, the Japanese pronounce it "Mazinga?" If so, that would make sense why Mattel called their Shogun Warrior, Mazinga. 2. Why do they sometimes use English words like missile, cutter, breast fire,etc...?
Observations:
1. I've never liked the design of Mazinger Z but this is tempting. It's a thing of beauty! 2. If they produce a renewal version of DX Great Mazinger with this electric blue color, it's going to be hard for me to resist!

Doubtful the first release it’s going to sink in price, the DX Mazinger it’s a thing of beauty. The elbows are an issue but once you know how to do it’s good. I have two and they are amazing to look at. I will get this one because I love Z but it will never replace the first one we have. Just my Two cents also shipping form Japan it will be killer the size of the Dx box is huge and it weighs a lot.

Not sure I follow or understand what you are trying to ask. It is popular, so preorders sold out at HobbySearch, as well as a number of other stores. www.1999.co.jp/eng/10991696

So they already know the quantity they are ordering from the supplier? Each retailer is only allocated a certain number of units, and with large expensive figures like this the quantity is very limited.

Good old Bandai. Cashing in on nostalgia/anniversary.
Original DX Maz sales price was 33,250 Y back in 2012.
Amazing what effect inflation has had over the past 10 years. I get it. It's 50 year anniversary. It has been upgraded since the 2012 release: more gimmicks, accessories, features, etc. But that price tag of 84,700 yen is a tough pill to swallow, unless you missed out on the release back on 2012 or really want this anniversary edition.
Considering Bandai release schedule for DX SOCs, does this mean DX Grendizer has been pushed back another two or three years? How much will it cost then? Imagine the cost if they included the Spazer! LOL

LOL Agree. Almost tripling the price is quite hard to justify, even with inflation and all. As attractive as it is, I think I'll pass on it after giving it some thoughts, even though not having the first release. At $700-800 shipped, I have other stuff I would enjoy more. And while I like Mazinger Z, I already have quite a few different versions of gokin of it. Don't feel like the need for the ultimate DX. Nor do I have the crazy urge of "I gotta have it!" like when I saw the Takeya Ideon, Diaclone Robot Base, or even the recent CCSToys Great Mazinkaiser. There are times I go trigger happy on crazy purchases, but this one is not it.

I thought I wad the only one who couldn't justify this purchase to themselves. The price is indeed too high, especially in such a crowded year, and with so many other interesting lines to choose from.

Buy what you enjoy and enjoy what you buy, but be smart with your money.

I would have probably pulled the trigger if it was asking for 40000-50000yen ballpark. Not saying it is not worth 80000+yen. Just a bit much for me when it is just a "nice to have", without being a diehard original Mazinger Z collector.

King of the space must be bought no matter the cost
for me it will cost around 5k USD and couple of years in jail, because i will go to Japan beat the living sh!t out of Bandai official's, to make sure they make it next lol
joking aside it really became stupid at the level not only me but every single soul in my circle of people are upset about this, dont get me wrong i love Mazinger the most but i already have an army of Mazinger's + i really need to complete the trio in the DX line and in the MB line

bro the elbows issue is completely a mythical issue, the elbows have two clicks but most people are done with just 1, then they blame the figure
its like not locking your car door and then say oh thieves got into my car and stole stuff

so now the price is too high huh ?
how come i NEVER hear the price is too high when it comes to Riobot or 5 Pro ? all i hear is worth it (even tho i dont see how but okay)
we are talking about a DX SOC add on that its an anniversary release (limited item) so of course they will ask huge amount of money, but for me at least i know what im paying for
add on that when they see other companies that overprice stuff and people still bought from them of course they will want some of the action and they will ask more for their stuff as well
and the end its a matter of priorities and personal preferences

I’m good with the original. I don’t have room for another oversized box in my garage.

....and the end its a matter of priorities and personal preferences This, totally. And you can call me crazy, but I definitely want a Riobot Shin Getter Dragon more than this. But if Bandai is doing a DX SOC Ideon, I'll be fine to pay 200000yen, if it really comes to that. ...we are talking about a DX SOC add on that its an anniversary release (limited item) so of course they will ask huge amount of money, but for me at least i know what im paying for PASS!

Just ordered this but I think given inflation and the depreciation of the yen, pricing is consistent to the current conditions. Its 50th anniversary, dunno if I would be around for the 100th...so get it while Im alive... lol

I saw the improvements and they look fantastic. But being an owner of the original one, it's a tough sell for me to commit to spending another $700 on another one. I'm undecided, and still contemplating if I'll commit to ordering one.
But this is great for all the people who missed out on DX01.
Are you guys going to get the v3 of this DX Mazinger during the 60th anniversary in 2033? (Because you know we will be getting one lol)
