Did they fix the elbows popping off so easily on this release? This was only an issue one the original release IF the elbow was not fully connected. There are 2 clicks to connect, but a lot of people didn't know and only did 1 click, which would result in the arm falling off easily. I don't have the new one yet but I would assume Bandai changed the connection based on the photos.

I don't have the new one yet but I would assume Bandai changed the connection based on the photos. Does it actually come off like the original DX? I can't really tell looking at the photos, also none of the reviews I watched showed it coming off. It would be weird if they removed the Rocket Punch but that certainly would resolve the issue.

I shouldn’t say loose elbows. I should amend that to be “frustrating locking mechanism.” I know how to do it. I’ve watched numerous videos on doing it. It only actually clicks in and works right 2/10 tries. Maybe there’s a deeper level of knowledge required, but if I struggle with it after 5-6 years of ownership and spending an unreasonable amount of time researching it, it’s a bad mechanism.
Anyway, hope they simplified it. I love my original release and doubt I’ll get this one but man it’s awesome and I’m glad they release it again. Maybe one day I’ll swap them out. I’m ambivalent about black vs blue on Mazinger.

This guy is so cool. Is he the head of the collector's division? Haven't seen him since GX-100, and GX-29R before that. Hijiri Okazaki?

I don’t want to freak out folks but my Maz has 2 or 3 small QC issues that are annoying. There are two paint blemishes; one in the back where the figure rests on the styrofoam (no biggie I will never see it w the scrander on) and another rub/blemish in one of the gray stomach parts (no biggie; again the scrander belt cover it).
But… the left ankle joint is loose and I really need to pose it in a particular way to may sure the figure doesn’t lean over. First time I get a loose joint on a Bandai figure. Any recommendations on how to make it tighter? It is not a screw. I’ll try to post a picture later.
Thanks bros

He'll post his solution when he sees this.
Kiki doesn't seem substantial enough for big diecast figures, in my experience, since it was made mostly for PVC/PVC contacts. Kind of just wears off on diecast joints.I think mpchi has a good solution, but he can explain it better than I could.
Sorry to hear about those paint blemishes though. On a figure of this price, should not be excusable. There should've been plastic sheets protecting where the figure would rub against the styrofoam.

Thanks bros A possible fix to make joints tighter is to use Japanese Liquitex Permanent Matte Varnish. You can find it online or on ebay, a small bottle like 120 ml will last you a lifetime. It was recommended by Wotafa, the Japanese Youtuber. I use it to fix loose joints that can't be opened up or taken apart. The Matte Varnish is very watery, then slowly dry into a tacky rubbery film after 15-20 mins. What I do is drip just a drop or two of it into the joint gaps or seams, let it run inside and fill the gaps. Don't put too much or it will run all over the place and you'll have to wipe them off. I move the joints every couple mins so that they spread around in there more evenly and not caked at one corner. Eventually, the dried residue will fill up the gaps and add friction to the joints. But unlike superglue, they don't dry hard or permanent, and you can still rub and scrape them off and don't permanently alter or damage the joints (will be messy though if you need to clean it). Given, DX Mazinger is quite heavy, so the added friction may or may not be enough, really depending on the figure and how the joints are designed. But it is something you can consider, if it can be a possible fix in your case. I don't have the DX Maz, so I can't give you more comprehensive solution aside a quick suggestion. I 'documented' a fix on my Riobot Getter Dragon ankle, which you can read here, if you want any additional info: robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/26368/sentinal-riobot-shin-getter-dragon?page=5

Love the Dx line, I have 2 DX mazinger and the Dx great Mazinger. Seams to me that this release does not offer the rocket punch. Extreme measure from Bandai. I believe a simple magnetic mechanism would do the trick, but alas 🤷🏻♂️. Waiting for supreme collector to deliver my copy here in US.

What hell is wrong with nin nin look what they send to me unfortunately after waiting too long for this 😖
Hi Amr,
Thank you for your email. I hope you had a good weekend ☺️
I checked with our warehouse manager for you and unfortunately I have some bad news. The item is quite large and therefore the size of the package exceeds the limit for EMS to Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately, we are not able to send the package to Saudi Arabia with Fedex/DHL either.
The other solution we can propose to you is to send the package to a different country via Fedex/DHL. Do you have anyone in a neighboring country that could receive the package for you?

Yeah I got mine on Launch day from the Tamashii Nations in Akihabara (was on a Trip) man the box was a chore to carry around Definitely not carrying a DX Chogokin box around in Tokyo. How hard was it to bring home DX Maz 50 from Japan without damaging the box on your plane trip? Too funny - because of their "other solution". This DX Maz box can't be bigger than previous DXs, can it?
