New anime series incoming 2024 featuring some heavy hitters in the production team!
Surely we will see numerous toy offerings next year, and hopefully at long last the DX SOC!

im not fan the characters design is AWFUL Duke Fleed looks extremely feminine and his suit is just stupid who designed this awfulness ! Kouji looks lost also why ? did these guys even watched Grendizer ? Shin Mazinger and Mazinger Z Infinity had way better designs than this ! why they didn't bring the same guys who worked on those ? im not hyped at all if you cant even design it right LEAVE GRENDIZER ALONE 
worth to mention you can see Mazinger z in 1:15 from the clip (a friend of mine noticed that)

it a new take on a classic. It may be hard to swallow but I really want to see it. There are some great names in there (try to be more open minded S). They have done some great stuff with go nagai classics in the last years: shin mazinger (I loved it but it seems it was a failure), mazinger infinity (GREAT MOVIE). And for example at first I wasnt a great fan of devilman crybaby art (hated it when I saw the trailer) but ended loving the anime. This characters are close to modern anime, so it guess they are also trying to appeal to younger audience (also they are sadamoto's design, you can tell it just by watching them). I'm a grendizer fan, albegas and grendizer are my most beloved mecha series, so I want this to be good an awesome, duke fleed is a great character and has a very good background story to develope, also the lore around grendizer... I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, and hope for the best, but if it turns out to be some crap I will be first in the line asking for the heads of everyone involved hahaha

my friend there is a huge different between a new take and sabotaging, the examples we both gave, Shin Mazinger, Mazinger Z infinity, the character design were acceptable, they kept a strong connection to the classic shows, and they were fun to watch from the start
Sadamoto is more than enough for me to dislike the show, i hated his work on Eva, also bro some said those are great names in the industry but, what does those great names knows about Super Robot shows ? mostly are famous for Gundam and Eva which were real robots \ cyborg kinda shows
explain to me how come Duke fleed went from a athletic young man with a good built physique to a skinny emo dude ? this is stupid im telling you
of course i will wait to see what more "awfulness" they will show but right not im not motivated or hyped for the show

Well you can't tell he is not athletic or a strong character, is just some decision about the show designs (take for example how characters design and art changed from Saint seiya original manga and anime to saint seiya episode G manga, yet episode G manga is the best spin off and have the best art in all the saint seiya franchise (check some pics if you dont know what I'm talking about, the art is waaaay skinnier and proportions are way off the original work). The same goes for akira fudo in crybaby, he was a well built athletic young man in the original and they changed it to a skinny man, yet he was strong and the show was insane! Mitsuo Fukuda (Director) - worked on Tryder G7, Daioja, Brave Exkaiser, Brave Da Garn, directed Dendoh Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Character Design) - worked on Gunbuster, Evangelion, FLCL, Diebuster Ichiro Okouchi (Screenwriter) - worked on King Gainer, Rahxephon, Eureka Seven, Code Geass Kohei Taneka (Music Composer) - Gunbuster, G Gundam, GaoGaiGar, King Gainer, Diebuster, One Piece Gaina (animation studio, formerly known as Gainax) - Gunbuster, Evangelion, Gurren Lagann, FLCL, Diebuster After looking these up, I then realized we actually got an "A-Tier" team right here!  In fact, we actually hit jackpot on both Music & Animation department LOL. And as much as I have mix feelings about the character design, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto is a very strong character artist. With him doing a lot of the character key frames, the animation quality is not going to be bad, as demonstrated in films like Summer Wars and Wolf Children (those are top tier anime films). |

you lost me at Sadamoto, i know he worked on Eva and i didnt like it one bit, also Eva is not a robot show, Eva is more like cyborg show, 1 rocket punch to its guts and it will bleeds
also the only worthy name (for me) is Gurren Lagann other show fade in comparison

its not hate no one hate on Grendizer
key point, our dislike is mainly toward the Characters Design, we dont know the story we didnt hear the music we didnt see the animation so its not logical to "hate" on something we dont know anything about. dont you agree ?
and if you think this is hate, please go and what the french fans are saying, its not hate is the next level of hate
no one is happy with Duke Fleed design or Kouji design
those two were strong men not weak boys that need inhalers

release date is in July but when exactly not sure
yes ive read it will be just like the game
as for the design they mixed between 3 designs for Grendizer
EX Gokin Grendizer (whole arms), the GX-76 DC (skinny legs and body) and the classic Grendizer design
for me i will wait for the show before i give my final thoughts, even tho there is some eliminates i really dont like

Cool cool. I guess subtitles are better than nothing. Still going to be ready to dive in and enjoy the new content. Seeing he was one of my fav mechas growing up, I can’t see it not piquing my interest. I think a lot of us are starving for new Mecha media so this will hopefully be good enough to spark more anime reboots. |
