I see Dancouga as superior in all ways. Here's a list: -Size Does Matter -Toughness Looking vs Wussy -Beast Mode, Small Robots, Big Robot vs Small Robot, and some Dumb looking Vehicles. -Color Scheme Dark Metallic colors versus Pokemon Colors I *really* prefer Dancouga to Zambot...its not even close. I think you guys are biased just because you spend $200 on this and want to like it. Bill I thought you also bought it.... shouldn't you be justifying why you spent the big bucks on it too? ANYHOO you guys wanna talk BIG[/color], Gouraisenpujin kicks all these SOC combiners' asses. GS is a true gattai bot with lots of accessories and is simply more fun with two gattaing robots (and even a third) making a bigger robot that's almost twice the size of zanbot and dancougar. He maybe a PowerRanger bot and has brick articulation but I also paid way less for him. There, I settled the best modern gattai robot...NOW shut all yer whining!

Bah, no way...my Fort Max's win! (Unless you pull out the 6ft RX-78 or Zaku.) Size matters. Bill

Aren't the size comparisons from that link, for the SRW game?
I've always believed those were inaccurate. Although most of the SR's are from different anime realities one thing holds true, they are usually on earth. Based on the building sizes alone, I would say most of the SR's should be about the same height. Some a little smaller, some taller/bigger, but not as small/big as the SRW Game info suggests.

Great Review Omni.... I'm glad you're satisifed with this gift! Thanks GC. I am definitely satisfied, even if there some minor nitpicks, the toy is still very good.

They aren't from SRW as far as I know. But even if they were, SRW games don't make up the stats, they pull them from existing sources. Dancougar being 18.6 meters tall is in the manual of the SOC also. SRW games have a greater height stat for Dancougar, but that's to the top of the booster. Combattler is definitely 57 meters tall as it's in the end song. Just did a search on google and every japanese site I've found says Zanbot's 60 meters. Does the manual not have that info?

I agree, all the Anime I've watched the robots seem to appear the same size more or less, I think that half the stats quoted were by their creators trying to one up each other and showing a new design change (Getter Robo to Getter Robo G) but not really reflecting it on the shows. I like to believe that the SOC is pretty much in scale for realism so 1mm=1ft. So something like Grendizer that is 180mm (manual lists measurments for toys) is 180 ft, plus if you draw yourself a little 6mm figure it fits perfect with every SOC, from the pilders (the Mazinger bases even have stairs to the ships) to the Getter Machines to even the pods for the Eva's, it all fits ( except GX-05 of course). Infact I drew a little 6mm Duke Fleed (assuming Fleed is about 6ft tall) and put it next to Grendizer just to show a little scale.

The other thing I dont like about Zambot are all the parts you need to add and subtract between modes. (The neck piece on Dancouga pissed me off too). I want them to be as "realistic" as a robot can be. Bill

I'm going to try and come up with a decent analogy. Comparing Zambot to Dancougar is like comparing: *Zambot* | *Dancougar* -------------------------------------------------- Boston to Sheena Easton Turntable to Cassette Walkman RTFF ** to Lunchables Jeans to Jams Disco Ball to Glow stick wallet to handbag --------------------------------------------------- Like a music group, clothing, or restaurant item they are essentially the same thing.... an expensive Bandai robot. But, they are two completely different styles. I guess the only way you could possibly compare the two is by price and build quality, and they both seem to have their flaws. ** RTFF is abbreviated for Ihop's Rootie Tootie Fresh and Fruity

Yep, and there is nothing wrong with either of them! I am glad that they made them both! I just hope they make more classic SR's like you know who (Let's Volt IN) and keep us fans blessed!

Just got mine and I'm pretty impressed ;D Leg movement sucks but thats O.K since most my stuff just stand there anyway. I only have one pet peeve, I wish his shoulders were wider and his waist and hips were slimer. If you haven't got one yet, get it, my only advice is as soon as you open the box put all of Zambo Aces accesories in his gun belt first. I dropped the tray with all his weapons in it and it took me an hour to find all his gun clips.
